I have acne and scarring. Anyone have any drugstore foundations that won't make me break out but still covers my blemishes? I have fair skin I think? Help with my shade would be awesome too! Thank you!

For your acne you should try witch hazel as a toner it dries out the acne and clears it. As far as your shade, look at the veins in your wrist if they are more blue then you have cool undertones, if they are more green you have warm undertones. A trick I use to matching is I swatch the foundation on my chest to see how close of a match I can get. I say the chest because its easy to blend your neck and face to your chest. As far as my suggestion for foundation I would try the Revlon Colorstay its full coverage and lasts all day. Also make sure that when you get home, use make up remover wipes to remove all your makeup BEFORE washing your face, then you wash your face and all of your make up off. Be sure to use a good moisturizer and a good cleanser or you could even try dabbing 2.5% benzoil peroxide on the blemishes as well. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. :)

My veins are more blue so what color foundation would that be? Lol and I do use the benzoyl peroxide but it dries out my skin so bad I need to get jojoba oil and mix it with my moisturizer! Where would I get witch hazel?

That means your cool toned I can't give you an exact shade over the computer but take the swatching tip I gave and you will be fine. You can buy witch hazel at walmart for $5 I'd recommend Dickensons. :)

covergirl advance radiance! it has full coverage, I have freckles I like to cover up so I need the full coverage as well. I always switch back to this foundation when others make me breakout. I love it.

When it comes to Benzoyl Peroxide, it's a super harsh chemical, but the best treatment for acne. I get pretty bad hormonal breakouts (in the middle of one right now, painful), and it dries them out really quickly. I put it on after removing my makeup and washing my face, and before putting on my night moisturizer. I give it some time to set into my skin, and then put on moisturizer to help with the drying effect it has. Start off using it once a day (I suggest at night because you won't be drying out your skin before putting makeup on, and you won't be re-clogging pores by putting makeup on top), and if your skin can handle it you can try increasing how often you use it. Don't use it more than 3 times a day though! Remember, it's a harsh chemical. You can be tempted to use it more often, thinking it'll help it work faster, but you won't want to overload your skin, because that could just make it worse!

=) No problem! I've struggled with acne since like 13 (so... 8ish years?) and tried soooo many different things. It just takes some trial and error to figure out what works for you.
