You should start somewhere where they give you additional training. I got my license a year ago and it was really difficult finding a job because everyone wanted experience! Even if you're newly out of school, you might not know a lot of tips and tricks that training can give you! :)

Its mostly chain companies like Great Clips, Sports Clips, etc. sometimes local salons offer it, too you just have to ask :)

I don't know what the rules are where you live but my advice is to start off someplace that will pay you hourly. atheist for the first few years until you build a clientele. starting off on 50% commission is balls! looks for a place with a high walk in rate aswell. if you can find a paid apprenticeship then take it!! be open to everything when it comes to hair (and I'm assuming makeup too) keep positive and learn from your mistakes. don't give up!

I would pick a high end salon. You're going to receive better training and they're grooming you to work for them so that helps take care of the after.
