hi. I have long fine brown hair. The problem is if I wash my hair in the morning it will be oily and flat the next day. I tried to use volume shampoo but it didn't do anything. Also if I put one product in my hair for example heat protection or anti frizz (Because my hair gets very frizzy) after couple hours it looks like I have not washed my hair in days. PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Um try switching (in my opinion) shampoo and conditioner. What brand are you using now? An make sure all the conditioner is out, 'cause sometimes it's easy to miss some in your hair :P also what brand of frizz stuff and heat protecting sprays are you using? Good luck! :)

i have the same problem. all you can do is wash your hair everyday. i have quite oily skin and fine hair so i have to shower and wash my hair every day. just because other people dont wash their hair everyday doesnt mean you dont have to!

if you're going to use product, try to only use it towards the ends, not on the roots

Try not to wash your hair whenever you can! I have the same problem and on weekends I try to keep my oils in my hair because the reason it gets greasy is because your scalp is (usually) dry so it makes more oils than it needs to!

I have the same hair type & problem. Either don't condition your roots, or make sure you rinse out your scalp very thoroughly. Don't put a ton of products in it, (I only put a few spritzes of its a 10 on my ends). Also try to use a clarifying shampoo (garnier pure clean is a good cheap one). I have the same problems & these solutions seem to help, even though I still have to was my hair every 2 sometimes 3 days. Goodluck :)

I have the same hair type & problem too! never touch your roots with conditionor that will make double the oil, second if u have frizz I suggest some spray of de-frizz like john freidas frizz ease! thirdly, its not healthy to wash your hair everyday so what I do is I use dry shampoo the second day to absorb all the oil and grease! good luck:-)

With dry shampoo you have to work it in after you spray it (a salon professional told me this) all dry shampoo is is baby powder

I don't use a spray and that's exactly what I found at first with it too but I recently got a powder puff one from lush and it actually works!:-)

only apply conditioner and products to the tips of your hair, avoiding the roots. herbal essences Drama Clean shampoo and conditioner does the job! it gives your hair a really good clean, I highly recommend it x

Your either using the wrong shampoo and conditioner, not rinsing it off properly or using too much product...it's normal for finer hair to get greasy quicker than thick hair, just dont add any product atall, and rub a bit of baby talc or use dry shampoo at the roots, also dont believe that by not applying conditioner after washing will solve the problem, cos it wont, your hair need some type of moisture :)

If the dry shampoo doesn't work, baby powder is a good option! I use both. Not all dry shampoos work. I like batiste the best. Rockaholic is ok.. I usually only have wash my hair every 4-5 days now. Plus I use a citrus deodorizer/freshener spray

That happens when I use a moisturizing shampoo. Use one that really cleans it. And only use conditioner on the ends

I'm a very successful hairstylist in Buffalo,NY... here is my professional opinion: don't wash it daily. I know, sounds counter productive right? Here's how your scalp works... it creates oils which keep your hair healthy and nurtured. If you are constantly stripping it with shampoo (which is a detergent, think dawn on a greasy pan) your scalp is going to try to over compensate... because its like "Whoa! let me do my job here!" Get yourself a QUALITY dry shampoo. My personal favorite is Blow. Rockaholic is crap, treseme is crap, suave is crap. I am EXTREMELY picky with hair products, Blow is the way to go. squirt it in about 6 inches away, do your makeup, brush the dry shampoo through your hair (you have to give it time to soak up the oils) and then blast your roots with a blowdryer to rid yourself of Martha Washington roots. You will have to get used to this process... but I promise you, PINKY PROMISE YOU, once you do... your hair will balance out. You may even notice it's much bouncier, shinier, and growing like a weed! Hope I've given you some hope!

you need shampoos made for oily hair. skip conditioner. all the conditioner is doing is adding moisture and oils. but shampoo for oily haor and dry shampoos.
