How To Wear Dark Lipstick??

How does one wear dark lipstick without it smudging??? I have a great kat Von D lipstick in an oxblood shade but it is hard to apply cleanly and precisely without making a mess. Also I'm afraid of it smudging during wear. Ideas????

I'd recommend a lip stain from any brand. After applying your lipstick get a q-tip and get some water or makeup remover to clean it up. To prevent smudging try your best not to touch it (LOL) and don't run your lips a lot it might end up in the sides of your mouth. 👍

I use a liner, with the liner I fill in my lips, then I'll go over that with the lipstick, I found that matte lipsticks don't smudge as much. one good lipstick that last me all day with out re application is revlon black cherry, and it didn't smudge
