You can really change the look of a dress with what you pair it with. What kind of dress are you thinking of wearing? I can give you more specific ideas if you have a photo of it or something like it!
A funky flat or a boot can make a dress quite casual. Layering with shirts underneath or sweaters and scarves on top also give it a casual, cool feel. More playful jewelry can also help.
