I had that problem after having acrylics on forever. I was told to use nailtech which is a protein and costs$25 from CVS stores. I did some digging on my own and went to Sally's beauty supply and found Nail Magic for$7-9 and works a lot better. Hope that works for you. Also Biotin works too.

Make sure to moisturize and take care of your cuticles! When I get lazy and skip applying hand lotion, I notice my cuticles crack due to lack of moisture then my nails get weaker. I apply a tiny bit of olive oil on my cuticles. Its cheap and lasts a long time. Also make sure you have plenty of protein in your diet since that's what our nails are. You can also chop up some fresh garlic and put it in a clear polish. This helps them get thicker naturally. I do these myself and they work well for me. Good luck :)

Keeping them square is the best way. It's the strongest nail shape. Also use seche vite nail polish on top.
