if it only started being a problem a month ago then check what has changed in ur life in that period of time. Stress, diet change, any change of products, etc... could lead to hair fall.
I have fine hair too and I suffer from hair fall all the time..I try to take vitamins n not wear out my hair with products or dyes or overdoing it with the dryers & flat irons..it doesn't stop the hair fall (cuz it's normal for me) but it decreases it

Hormones have a lot to do with it. if you're hormones are out of wack then the amount changes drastically. (:
