Should I get my hair cut to better fit the shape of my new hair extensions? Does that even work?

are your extensions made with layers or is it one solid layer?

Well the actual extensions are one length but they're placed on different levels on my head so they're kindaa layered. But you can definitely tell where my real hair ends..
