Try taking a better picture :( the angle and lighting is tricky. But it may be the products..although I do think you need to go over a few times until you start seeing it show.

Sometimes when I'm home before I go shower..since I have to wash my face anyways..ill go and practice a particular make up trick that I've been wanting to do and then yeah. Maybe you should practice on your spare time if you can...then you'll know if it's you or the product? Hope that helps.

your problem is that you're using a highlighting bronzer. the shimmer picks up ambient light and makes the area appear brighter, not darker. it's fine for use at the temples if you're going for "sunkissed" but for your intended purpose you need something matte.

I feel your pain, Stephanie. I, too, have a very round face and struggle to contour in a flattering manner. Add to the mix how pale I am, and the difficulty in finding products that will look somewhat natural. I finally figured out that true bronzers, regardless of how matte they are, will never work for me. Instead, I use plain old face powder that's a few shades darker than my foundation. That way it looks like a natural shadow and not like I've been rolling around in dirt.

Jacqueline's advice is perfect! I can see in your third picture that your face does have some definition even though it is round, so you do have something to work with!
I personally have found help with Cream Contour's as they are easier to learn on than powder products IMO. Ben Nye makes a great contour wheel with 4 different shades that costs like $10.00, and it is really an amazing product. Or, as Jacqueline has said, you can use a cream concealer that is darker than your skin tone as a contour. Make sure to stick with cool-toned, matte colors! Warm contouring products look very obvious in most lighting.
