I was diagnosed with endometriosis in November and my gyno upped my B.C. Dose and I've tried all the Advil and Tylenol but I'm still in severe pain. Do any of you stuggle with endo? And how do you cope with the severe pain?

My mother has really painful endometriosis, so I don't have personal experience with the pain you are experiencing, but I have seen it first hand. When she is in pain from her endometriosis, she is barely mobile it hurts her so badly. There are certain things/foods that give her flare ups because I think hers affected her intestines the most (in conjunction to other stomach or intestinal problems). She cannot eat a lot of foods like seeds and nuts as well as some other proteins. I am not sure if that is the endometriosis alone or her other problems as well. She ultimately ended up getting a hysterectomy a few months ago since her endometriosis was so terrible and she is in her mid 50s without going through menopause yet. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful =(

Oh wow your poor mom :(. Some foods especially gluten can cause flare ups. I went to the pain clinic this morning and had an injection to numb the area but they said it would take at least 48 hours to go into effect. I feel like its a stabbing pain. I really appreciate your input :).

awh I'm so sorry your pain is so terrible =( I hope the injections helps soon! Do you know what they gave you for the pain? My mom never got any injections that I am aware of but I have personally had cortisone injections for back pain and spine issues and they also took about that amount of time to really help with pain so I was wondering if it was the same thing

They said it was a steroid/ numbing agent but I can't recall the name it was really long. I'm sorry to hear about your back and spine issues. Are you feeling better overall? Take care doll!

That may be something similar to what I used to get. It kinda made me numb for a day or two then relieved some pain. I am better now, but it is because I had to have surgery when the injections stopped working on me... but they did work for a while! Thanks for the concern, I hope you feel better too! I know its really hard to be in pain especially when other people around you can't relate =(
