Hi I recently purchase maybelline gel eyeliner (about 2 days ago) and first day I put it on it was amazing like all the reviews I read about it. But today after 3-4 hrs of wearing it I saw that it gave me raccoon eyes and got into my crease? Do I need to place eye primer before putting on gel eyeliner?

Yes! And it's a good idea to put on primer then a matte nude or natural color eyeshadow on your lids to give the gel something to hold onto. Good luck hope I helped!

Have you tried going over it with an eyeshadow?

It is a crime not to prime! Lol. No but I'm dead serious, a primer should prevent smudging, and if there was ever anything I would invest in, it a good quality eyeshadow primer. I used Soft Ocre Paint Pot by MAC or Primer Potion by urban decay in all my videos. Hope this helps. :-

Hi Jasmin, you might be having this problem due to oily eyelids. I would definitely recommend to prime your eyelids before using the eyeliner.
But don't stop there, you need to make sure you set your primer.
Use a shadow close to your skin color, or your face powder.
You can go one step further and set your gel liner with a black shadow as well, if you are still seeing its creating raccoon eyes.
Hope that helps!

I have that eyeliner and Ive gotten the same smudging in my corners. Best thing to do is prime your eyes. Even better thing to do is go over the liner with black shadow on a small brush. It deff helps. All in all though, I love that maybelline gel liner. It will last you so long! Just make sure you do those 2 things and it should help!!!
