I just bought the new maybelline color tattoo eyeshadow in purple. I have beige/ tan skin and brown eyes how should I wear it to get the deepest color? It seemed kind if translucent when I tried it on, nothing like it looked in the ad. Disappointment or am I not using it properly?

Maybe use a chubby eye pencil in a purple color as a base. I bought the copper one and the color isn't as deep as I would have liked.

How are you applying it? I find if you pat it on, rather than using a more sweeping motion, the color payoff is better.

I use my finger to put it on thick, no brushes.

Use it as a base & put a purple eyeshadow on top of it. Apply primer to your eyes first, then the purple color tattoo & the purple eyeshadow last.

I pat it on and I get a nice amount of vibrant color on my lids. And when u add eyeshadow to it....wow. It takes it up a few notches.

Yeah I started out using a brush then moved to my fingers. I might try putting on a primer first

I found the purple one was not as smooth as the others. A little blotchy.

I just bought my first one too. I wanted the pomegranate but, they were out. I settled on the taupe which seems nice. I don't have much experience using creme shadow. So, far I like it

Finger application would be best and a really good eye primer preferably on the lighter side it will help bring out the color pigment of the color tattoo! I love color tattoos, hoping they come out with some more matte shades like a macs painterly or soft ochre! I love them I was thinking about doing a review on my youtube channel, graceandglamor of the newer colors!
