All piercings hurt. A very sharp, hollow needle is going through your skin. The healing process is also somewhat uncomfortable and you really have to be committed to proper care and maintenance. I adore piercings but be prepared for a little pain.

Yess ! I wanted to cry when i got it done but you can take the pain only done side is that its hard not to bite on it when eating i chipped my teeth cause of it i had to take it out but i miss it!

Everyone has different pain thresholds I have has my eyebrow and Tragus but they closed over, I have my lobes pierced twice, my belly button, nostril and tongue. Nostril does hurt when I was 14 I got it done they stupidly still did it with piercing guns back then, I chose the piercing gun because it was cheaper and it hurt a lot sort of like a very sharp pinch and my eyes watered and it stung but it wasn't too bad, go for it, and btw I didn't get a scar, not everyone does, most people's piercing is fine as long as you look after it. If you did get a scar it's easily covered
