I've some pics on my profile. Its super easy. I used regular pastels. I dampened my hair, coloured it in how I wanted ...the more you apply the stronger the colour , then curled it or straightened it to seal the colour. Looked fab. Feels dry when its on though. And I had to use a clarifying shampoo to remove it....but I have super porous hair which just clings to colour.

Bethany that looks great! Does it work on dark hair as well? where abouts do i get these pastels? im guessing they are diffrent than reg sidewalk chalk type stuff right?

They're oil pastel chalks! You can buy a whole set at Michaels/Any craft store for $5!(I'm just saying 'cause Urban Outfitters came out with practically the same thing but for $15) And it works on all colors of hair! It depends on the color. I have dark hair and teals, reds, greens, and pinks came out! However it's a messy process so wear old clothes and the chalk sometimes transfer to the colors so no whites! Also I'd recommend gloves but to be honest I find it easier without them!

Yeah it works on dark hair. I watched a yotube tutorial on a girl with really dark hair and they still showed up super well. She had just grabbed some pastels from the local drugstore. Mine I bought as "hair chalk" from china....the box they arrived in.said "art pastels!"

@Bethany since you have blonde hair, did the color stay in your hair for longer than a day? I have ombré hair currently and wanted to do hair chalk but I don't want it lasting longer than it should!

It stayed in for a while yeah. But you can avoid that....use less heat to seal it in (blow dry instead) and use a clarifying shampoo will strip out the chalk.
