Subtle Smokey Eye Makeup

I'm trying to get more ideas for smokey eye makeup. I try to use colors that make my eyes pop more. I'm a natural brunette but when I was a red head I went with colors that were more subtle and it made my eyes pop. Now I'm back to being brunette and darks make my eyes pop. The only problem I have is I can't always do darks with the job field I'm in (medical) so I'm looking for something subtle but that will still make my eyes pop.

Your eyes are so pretty!!! Maybe instead of dramatic shadow, use a dramatic smudgy liner technique. Itll give you smokey definition without looking like youre wearing a ton on your eyes. As for colors, maybe a deep plum smudged on top of black pencil around the eye. Or a coppery/brown/gold combination maybe.
