there suppose to be illegal in the US. when I was in beauty we did them on each other. very bad for your hair, especially if your plannin on coloring and bleaching it.

I was interested in it and read up on it a little. Apparently, it releases formaldehyde during the processing...

I did it and you have to blow dry it after every wash for it to work so if your willing to do that then go for it!

I did it and it ruined my hair pretty bad. My curls arent the same anymore either. I wouldnt recommend it and I'd never do it again. :(

There is a difference between Brazilian and Keratin treatments. The formaldehyde vapor is really high in Brazilian, which might be what you need if you have tight curls. But the high levels are toxic and if reapplied through the hair will cause damage. Keratin treatments have about 800x's less formaldehyde vapor. That why you can repeatedly run it through the ends.

keep ur hair natural. once u do chemical treatment its hard to go back to natural. im now on transitioning stage, and its such a pain to grow back healthy. it gave me hair loss and limp hair. I regretted. unless u really want to go through the hassle of touch up.

a Brazilian blow out is not actually classified as a chemical treatment since it does not alter the hair structure itself like coloring, perming, and relaxers but instead coats the hair. I have done them in salons and loved them and done the at home keratin treatments, which also very much accomplished the job beautifully. My only complaint was that one of the at home versions made me breakout really bad behind my ears :/ not so bueno. Anyhow, I would suggest trying the light version through a salon. it does not last as long as the full blow out and you can see if you like it and it doesn't damage your hair. Speak to your trusted stylist at a reputable salon and they can explain all the details, pros and cons :D

i am Brazilian and i do it for years now. Depends on the brand and who applies it. if you don't do it on the good way so yeah, you gonna get your hair screwed!

and of course that after any kind of chemical treatment you need a lot of restructuring and smoothly treatments too..
