Okay so my boyfriend snores very loudly no matter how he sleeps and I cannot stand it. I wear ear plugs but sometimes I can still hear him. I get really annoyed by repetition like that and I just end up getting so frustrated I leave and go downstairs to sleep. He doesn't stay the night very often but when he does I just do not sleep. What do I do? He knows he snores, but doesn't really do anything about it. He's an amazingly heavy sleeper so even if I shove him when he snores he won't wake up or stop snoring. I really am so tired of this and I do not know what to do

There are some breathing exercises he can do. Talk to him about it and ask him to go to a sleep specialist to talk about the exercises. My grandparents hadn't slept in the same bed for 10 plus years until grandad started using the breathing exercise lol. Luckily my boyfriend doesn't snore if I can get him to roll on his side!!!!!

Put tape on his mouth. Part of the Buteyko breathing method. Or try sleep apnea ez breathe nose clips. Opens the nostrils to help prevent snoring.

I have dealt with that before. Only I was sleeping and my boyfriend suddenly snored really loud and it scared the living crap out of me so I woke up. haha
I would get him to try the breathe right nose strips. They work amazingly.

Absolutely love this topic Kayli, my boyfriend is pretty much the same except he hums in his sleep...so annoying!!! i'm not sure on how to stop snoring or humming but a cheeky little trick i've learned is that if you express how bad it is to your boyfriend & that it keeps you awake etc he'll feel bad & make it up to you with dinner, flowers, a little gift you get the jist lol ;) x

Haha lucky yours gives you things!! Mine just feels bad the next day.. Which results in me having to make him cheer up.. Ugh. Oh well haha I have found that when I rub his stomach he doesn't snore, which is really strange haha

Lol my boyfriend snores too. And sometimes he talks in his sleep. He told me that if he's snoring, to lightly run my hand across his face and he'll stop.

I'm in the same situation... A friend of mine's hubby went to the doc for sleep apnea and got an air mask to wear to sleep. She says it helps tremendously. It might be expensive to see a sleep specialist and buy this machine though without a good insurance coverage.

Yeah I'm trying to get him to see a doctor, he sometimes gets really bad allergies as well so that may be a part of it. He's in the military and lives on base and the earliest appointments e can usually are for a few weeks later it's crazy. But I'll try to make him go haha my happiness is at stake!!

I believe Dr. Oz performed a short procedure of preventing snoring through a "surgery" on his show. It's supposedly painless and im not sure on the price.

No offense, but I personally think Dr. Oz is the biggest pile of crap. So many of the things he says are untrue, it's ridiculous. But that's just me- my parents love him and I know a lot of other people do too but in my opinion he's just regurgitating whatever fads and crazes you can find on the internet, which a majority of them are 100% false or do not have enough research to back them up. Science and human genetics don't change quickly, so when people come out with the "super awesome new thing that has never been discovered before that cures everything", it probably is too good to be true. No fad is real, especially when there are testimonials. If they only way they can sell you a product is to have people tell you it worked instead of giving you scientific evidence, chances are it does nothing. But now I am ranting!!
I don't think my boyfriend needs surgery though, he probably just needs a really good decongestant

I think theres some kind of nose clip on eBay that might do the trick. my daddy snores as well, and after my mom bought the nose clip, it gets better. good luck!!
