Not for me

There are pros and cons to using this foundation, hence why I gave this 3 stars.

PROS: - in terms of coverage, this foundation is so good, especially if you want to wear it everyday. - it is quite pigmented without feeling heavy on the skin. -buildable - the Y shades do run quite yellow and for me, it's a good thing. This is still the only foundation I have found that is a PERFECT match for me. Even though I no longer use this, I keep it on hand so that I can compare its colour to other foundations. -thin and emollient which means you have time to work with it.

CONS: -if you have combo/oily skin, you will definitely need to touch up during the day. You may even need to bake if you don't usually do. -I don't have sensitive skin but I got breakouts on my cheeks and milia on my chin (which is a really weird place to get milia, especially since I don't usually get them). I think this is down to the fact that this product has coconut alkanes (an ingredient derived from the fatty acids of coconut oil) and since coconut oil is comedogenic, it blocked up my skin. This also happened to my friend (she has combo skin just like me). - I wouldn't recommend it to people with sensitive or acne- prone skin. -not transferproof -takes a while to dry down to a skin-like finish.

This product also applies better with a buffing brush. A sponge is good if you want a lighter coverage.

Wrong shade

I don't why I didn't return this. But their medium is not medium. It's more of a medium-deep. I wont repurchase because of personal reasons with the brand. Overall I thought the product was nice but it didnt wow me.

The shade matched my complexion great (often find it difficult to match). I loved that it gave me a nice glow without having to add another product to create the effect. When I applied it, I found the consistency was light and easy to apply. And let's not forget the price for this foundation was awesome!

Beautiful finish and very light

I use the foundation brush to apply one squirt and that gave my skin a very nice put together look without looking or feeling heavy! I got tons of compliments! Picked up a darker and a lighter shade to mix in order to match my level of outdoor activity! Luv this foundation!

Natural look

I like it a lot, coverage is medium and it feels and looks very natural on the skin. I have some wrinkles so foundations that are super matte don’t look really good on me. But the serum-like texture of this one was great. I would buy again . I would love the undertone range to include olive.

Absolutely amazing

I have spent upwards of $60 on different foundations and none have ever come close to the feel and last of The Ordinary. Goes on smooth, even without primer, and lasts all day. Keeps a smooth matte finish even in hot/sunny and humid weather. Both the serum foundation and full coverage foundation offer great coverage and high quality pigment without the heavy, cakey feeling or packed on look. I definitely found my foundation.

I just love this

This foundation is excellent for my everyday makeup. Light weight with the right amount of coverage. If you’re looking for a light product that helps you correct your blemishes this is the one. You can’t beat the price and the quality is great
