About Sunday Riley Clean Rinse Clarifying Scalp Serum
Clear away hair product buildup, sebum, dead skin, and pollution with Sunday Riley’s Clean Rinse Clarifying Scalp Serum. The AHA/BHA-infused, rinse-off serum features a micellar water base and a vitamin and mineral complex to cleanse and nourish without stripping the scalp. Glycolic acid exfoliates the surface of the scalp, while salicylic acid dissolves sebum buildup to support optimum hair health. Like skin care for the scalp, this full-spectrum serum will leave you with a cleaner, healthier-looking scalp and refreshed hair.
Why It's Special
- Glycolic acid and salicylic acid exfoliate and remove follicle-clogging debris, sebum, and styling product buildup.
- Panthenol, calcium, zinc, vitamin B, vitamin C, and vitamin E support healthy hair growth.
- Rose clay pulls impurities out while witch hazel removes product residue without stripping the scalp of essential moisture.
- Free fatty acids, jasmine essential oil, and rosewater rehydrate the scalp (without making the hair oily) for a full-spectrum, clarifying, cleansing, and hydrating scalp treatment.
How to Use
Create small parts in hair with the nozzle tip. Squeeze the bottle and apply Clean Rinse to the scalp. Massage well. Keep in for a minimum of 3 minutes, up to 30 minutes. Rinse well. Follow with shampoo as usual if needed. Because Clean Rinse has a micellar water base, you may not need to shampoo. Can be used several times per week, depending on your level of buildup.

Emily P. 3 weeks agoSweet relief in a bottle 💕
Cold windy days really cause grief on my scalp and as it gets colder where I live I seem to have developed quite the itchy scalp. Even after washing my hair, I felt a specific tightness all over the scalp that just could not be relieved. While pricey, I personally feel like there's nothing in the market that quite does what the Clarifying Scalp Serum does.
This serum helps to relieve the scalp and immediately offers relief for anyone who has been suffering from flakes. After one use I felt that my scalp was itch-free and more importantly my hair felt incredibly soft. This particular formula contains a micellar water base so as the name suggests it softly cleanses the scalp while offering exfoliating properties.
I tend to apply this treatment all over my roots, and softy massage the product in, or if you prefer, you're welcome to comb the product through. I will usually then add my favorite pre-wash treatment (I suggest the Briogeo Don't Despair Repair Megastrength Rice Water Protein + Moisture Strengthening Treatment) and leave it on for 20-30 minutes. After rinsing you'll feel your hair feel healthier but your scalp will be relieved of any irritation. So if you're considering treating yourself, look no further than this 🤩

I’m writing this review since I don’t see any reviews on this product and have been hesitant to buy it since there are such little reviews. Purchased it from a different retailer but here are my thoughts. I have pretty severe scalp psoriasis. My scalp gets so dry that it will bleed if I scratch (eww, I know). I have tried everything, Drunk Elephant, Inkey, down to O.T.C. steroid topicals but unfortunately they offer temporary results. Ive used Luna 2/3 times a week for the last 5 years and it’s a godsend for my face Psoriasis. I decided to try it on my scalp and have seen great results from it, so I decided to bite the bullet and spend the money to try this out. It’s the best one out there (for my scalp) when it comes down to what I want it to do; reduce redness and irritation, hydrate, remove skin buildup and get rid of flakes. I leave it for about 20 mins and my scalp feels normal. Most tingle my scalp (which I love) but that’s usually due to menthol (which I don’t love). I love the smell of this and how well it glides on my scalp without it grabbing to my hair. With that being said, I wasn’t wowed, nor impressed. Ill continue to use this cause I do love it, but I feel the same as I feel about ceramic slip cleanser, it’s nice but I just wash it off and there’s cheaper alternatives that do the same, but maybe don’t make my skin feel quite as nice. But for the price tag, I’ll skip this one and go for the cheaper ones.
