Eye Pencil

I was really excited to try nudestix. I've been a fan of NYX's shadow pencils for a while, but the packaging is kind of flimsy and the product was a bit oily for me. So in comparison to the NYX this is a vast improvement (It also costs four times as much so you'd hope so!). I also have Makeup Forever's long wearing shadow stick and Sephora's 12 hr jumbo eyepencil for comparison. The product is closest to the makeup forever in that it goes on smoothest and is easy to blend. At this price point, that's what I would expect. It is superior to Makeup Forever because it's a pencil that you can sharpen, while MUF is a roll up that gets a blunt tip fast and after 10-12 applications you need a brush to get the corners of your eyes etc. So far so good. So why am I not raving about this product? Well, for one thing it doesn't last on your face. I bought the shimmer to use as a base under other shadows, and as an eye brightener, and it's really only average for that purpose. The nyx products are just as good at that task at a quarter of the price. I have oily lids, to be fair, and will probably try the magnetic formula when I get a chance. Also the packaging as wonderful and slick as it is, was problematic. The tip on the smudge end of the stick was not actually glued down so I have to fuss with it to get it to work. I could return it, but I will probably just glue it myself. This nudestick is about two inches longer than the lip/cheek one, because of the smudger and that means the tin is even bigger. This you could actually use as a pencil tin or a brush case. It's huge.

The sharpener is excellent. It cleaned up the mess I'd made of my NYX and Sephora pencils with a cheap sharpener. I can see myself getting maybe one more nudestix and then filling in with other cheaper products and carrying my whole face kit in this larger tin. As usual Beautylish's customer service is nonpareil. My order arrived fast, was wrapped like a little hipster gift and included a hand written note. Awwww. You guys are the best!

I love the look of a subtle shimmer on the eyes, and this pencil works great for that. All you need to really do is blend it well with your fingers, and it honestly will last all day, although I do not have oily eye lids. If I did, I would powder first before applying a cream product to my eyelids to prevent creasing. I like this eye pencil even more, though for highlighting the cheekbones and inner corners of the eyes as well as any other area on the face you are looking to highlight. It really makes your face glow in a very non sparkly way. I love the packaging as well as the fact that it comes with a small smudger on one end and it's own sharpener built into the cap. Ideal for travel!!! The tin it comes in is slightly larger than other Nudestix tins, so you can use it to store multiple Nudestix products as well as other products in your purse, which is what I am currently doing. The mirror inside these tins is huge and doesn't get dirty like most of my other compact mirrors due to how all their products come in the form of pencils. Very happy with this eye pencil!!

I just recently got this and I already love it! The shade is a perfect whole eye highlight; I like to put it under my brow bone, on the center of my lid, and on my bottom and top lash lines, concentrated on the corner. It comes with a convenient sharpener and a smudger, which makes this a quick and easy to use.

I bought this strictly to wear all over my lid on lazy days to make myself look "alive" and it's perfect! I haven't used it under any shadows yet but alone it does not crease which is my usual complaint but can't say that about this!

I was 50/50 with this pencil. This product doesn't stay on long. I noticed maybe after three to four hours the colors had started to wear off. I do like the concept of the pencils which cuts down time on application. The best thing about these shadows are that they are creamy and easy to blend, with no clumps at all. I love the packaging the tin is a great idea and it has a convenient slightly magnifying mirror on the cover. The golden is great for the lower waterline area ro minimize my dark circles. If it packaged for teens and twenty year olds they should offer "refill" option with and without the tin. My teenagers love the idea but feel they don't need a tin with every purchase.

I was surprised this creased as quickly as it did, I have the magnetic eye pencil which is great! maybe it's the color? not sure but it slipped and slid and ended in a mess in my eye crease.

I have the Stardust and Burnish nudestix and I reallllllly love using them. They're sooo easy to use, especially when I'm going for a quick and natural look. I use Stardust on the inner corners on my eye and swipe it all over my lid as a base, then use Burnish as a "liner". I'm not a fan of the sponge bottom since I takes too much of the product while smudging so I use my fingers to blend. Overall, I love the Nudestix eye pencils and will be using them often.

Now I have a few of the nudestixs in various colors...they go on smooth, blend well and the colors make my eyes look bigger and brighter without being obvious...oh and did I mention shipping was very fast and packaging was fabulous. Great company.

Do you ever have those days where you want to walk the dog, but can't deal with being seen without a touch of makeup? Or if you're feeling a little "fashion forward" and want to try the no-makeup look but don't want to look like awful? This is it. I love the Smoke because it gives you a hint of dark without a full-on smokey eye, is super fast to apply and smudge, and does the trick when you don't want to go full-on "glam." I am removing a star because it's not exactly long wearing, but we can't have everything.
