This is a mini of the larger version of the Diamond and Blush palette in Darya. The duo glow pink shade is a duo chrome shift highlighter/blush topper depending on your skin tone or how much you apply on your cheeks. The diamond powder doesn't have a strong base to it so it does come off glittery but that is the point of the diamond powder. It sparkles in the light like diamonds and the glitter is so fine that it truly does stay put after application and has pretty good staying power. The diamond powder can be applied like a highlighter, over a cream or powder highlighter base or buffed in over the cheeks as a topper to blush.
This product was pretty innovation when it released last year but the price tag prevented people who have never tried Natasha Denona products to splurge. This mini duo was a way for people to try the best parts of that Darya palette in a smaller version for a much more affordable cost. I really hope she comes out with a mini of the Citrus version as well.
I dont know if it's a highlighter or blushtopper...honestly I am not impressed. It is full with glitter, both shades. This was the first N.Denona product I bought and probably the last one
I already own the big version of the Diamond Blush and Glow in the color Citrus, which I love. This has a smaller version of two of the shades from the Darya Diamond Blush and Glow palette. I am so so happy I bought this. The duochrome shade is unique and the silver glitter is versatile and incredibly fine. Now I don't have FOMO for not getting the full Darya palette, because the only shade I really wanted was the duochrome
The highlighter is so glittery that has no pigment and couldn't grab on to the base. Applying with a brush just makes the glitters flying EVERWHERE! And fingers can't keep up the product either. Such a disappointment.
I love this mini! I have both full sized darya and citrus palettes and the quality is the same as the full size in the darya palette. So glad to have a mini now!
Just got this today.. Pink highlight is beautiful duochrome shade but diamond highlight is just a glitter topper that you can find in her gold palette. I don't have the big version of diamond and glow but I expected more from that diamond part.
Let me just start by saying I'm one of those people who's never motivated to leave reviews like, EVER, but this product made me feel so strongly that I just had to share my thoughts..
The rating I'm giving is pretty harsh, but I'm taking into accounts the price and the packaging when I score this product. If I'd paid drugstore prices I'd be a little less mad at it.
Packaging: Beautiful and sleek on the outside, very simple but refined and classy. The closure? Magnetic with NO SNAP CLOSE. This really gets me because for me a mini product should be designed with travel in mind, however left to its own devices in a makeup bag, this product could quite easily pry itself open given the right angle on another product. I feel like for the price they could have included a secure snap closure. It does include a mirror but personally this is useless to me as I never use the mirrors in products and this one is just teeny. My product pans also weren't super flush with the actual palette and give the feeling they could quite easily drop out if I were to accidentally drop or bump it.
Packaging aside, the product is also flawed. The blush I have no issues with, it's a beautiful peachy pink with a duochrome shift that gives a healthy sheen on the skin. The formula didn't wow me however and for the price, I can think of other (cheaper) brands that perform better. If you're looking for beautiful blushes in any shade you could think of then you really can't look past Tarte. The highlight sadly, is a different story. I think what makes it even more depressing is I can see that it could have been great, however the addition of a large percentage of chunky glitter ruined it for me. I like how it has no base pigment so I imagine it would suit a variety of skin tones; it won't give you that highlighter stripe but sadly the glitter is VERY obvious, VERY chunky and unfortunately goes EVERYWHERE no matter what brush you use or how you use it. The end look feels like some terrible eyeshadow fallout that you've then gone and wiped all over your face. The only use I could see for this would be either as an eyeshadow topper (make sure you do your eyes before foundation though!) or maybe in photography if you were going for a certain type of look for a shoot.
Overall, everything taken into account, if my friends asked me about this product I would tell them to steer clear. My advice? Save the $$ for brands like Tarte, Becca or Ofra who, in my humble opinion, excel at blush and highlight.
P.S As a first time buyer from Beautylish I can't fault the service. This review in no way reflects this company and I will happily purchase from these guys again.
This mini palette is fantastic! Its travel friendly, and both highlighter and blush are so smooth and nice on the skin! in particular the highlighter is blinding! amazing!
The diamond one is absolutely stunning! I can use it on eyes as well as a top, or your body. It's not the highlight i would say it's diamond powder. It's very similar to Fenty Diamond powder, if you have one of this you might need to another one. They substitute each other. They have a different texture but the result very similar. You will shine as diamond with both of them. Probably it's just the brand preferances. I love Natasha Denona more.))) The blush is cold pink with a peachy shift. It's a matter of taste. probably you can use with other blushes as well. The texture is gorgeous. Not powdery, you can apply with your fingers, probably it's even better than with a brush.
The pink blush is very pretty with a shine BUT the other is just a clear straight on glitter and for a 54 year old it’s a no go. It looks nothing like this picture. I scrapped it out of the pan just awful for me.
