Amazing

I don't understand why this has such low ratings, I think the formula is amazing!! All of the shades have glimmers in them, but some of them blend out on the eye (think colourpop matte shadows that have glitters in them), and other shades are super high shine. This is my second time buying the palette, the first time was from the Miss Fame Beauty website. Can't wait to see what else comes out from the brand!

Ignore the Lucky Bag Crowd...

This palette is really great and every shadow is special. There are metallics, absolute glitterbombs, and shades with a really pretty duochrome shift. There are several that make a great one-and-done look. The color story is beautiful and includes shades that would look great on a variety of skintones. I've mostly been using them along with my other shadows to elevate my looks with some sparkle and glamour. As others have pointed out, there is not a matte transition shade or a handful of neutrals. I personally really like that because I already have those shadows and don't need every palette to give me more, so I'm fine with it.

Downsides? It's not the easiest palette to use. I prefer using a synthetic brush to tap dry shadow onto a glitter glue base. This gives me a really deeply pigmented finish with lots of sparkle. You could also tap on with a finger or a damp brush. Over-blending these shadows tends to wipe away the glitter and leave the base shade. Some shades look totally fine when this happens and some of them (especially the darker colors) get a little weird. There is significant fallout during application.

Overall, I really love this palette. It's unlike anything else I own. I think it's really a bummer that it's been beaten up in the reviews by people mostly upset they didn't get what they wanted in their Lucky Bag. The difficult application and fussy formula kept me from giving it 5 stars but, honestly, it's close. I'm really glad I took a chance. I highly recommend it to anybody that's looking for something fresh and unique.

I bought this with the kit, and the 3 glitters. I absolutely love the packaging it's very Alien, and I love the use of the images being see through, giving it a blend to the other art on the packging. I admire this color story and work that went into the presentation of the palette. I would consider this palette to go with your other palettes. it does not have any matte shades so I feel it's for adding effects and a pop of color and texture to your existing palettes. It's an artistic palette for sure. These shadows are very interesting. They all have a shift to them (duochrome), i recommend using a glitter glue and a patting motion to get these to full intensity and performance. I love this palette and I wish more people talked about how special these colors are. They are out of this world, and I can't wait for Miss Fame to put out more art like this!

Incredible pallette!

The reviews on this are awful! But that’s people moaning about it being included in some sort of lucky bag, please ignore them.

This palette is one of the very best I own. If you’re someone who is very bold with makeup, this is one you need.

Apply a wet base down first, and these shades really come to life. They remind me of the eyeshadow you’d see in Paris Fashion Week

Extremely luxe!!

Not Good :(

I received this in Jan 2020 as part of my lucky bag. I didn't want to give up on it and tried numerous times to make this work with different methods. It is now August 2020. I have decluttered this palette.

Good as a complementary palette

I really like the color story but it could be hard to use it when you only have shimers, so it's not for a everyday look and for me, it can not stand by itself without transition shades.

For me the right side of the palette, which have Or(an)gy, Bleuphoria, Cosmic crush and Warderlust, is the best and most consistent part of the palette, those four shades are beautiful and have the best formula, very pigmented and easy to work with. Taupetation and Skinmacy are beautiful browns, a little more into the dry side but they perform OK, I just think that they should have a matte finish.

The shade Auragasm is one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen, but it also have the most fallout ever, it's really dry and hard to work with. And it's sad because I'm in love of that goldy/pinky duotone reflect, but you need glitter glue in order to use it and probably need to do your eyes before the rest of the face, as I said the fallout is horrible.

I'm a super fan of Miss Fame and I really hope that the next palettes will be better, this is not bad considering is the first one, but the formula needs to improve and please, matte shadows !

Really disappointing- it sashayed away into my bin

I expect much better from Miss Fame and I was disappointed.

I tried these shadows with Nyx Glitter Glue, Bobbi Brown concealer and Elf Glitter Primer and none of them worked. The fall out was epic.

Why oh why Miss Fame wouldn't you have made 2 or 3 of these matts? The colour story isn't everyday, but that and formula with less fall out would have cinched me keeping this palette.

The sugar pill palette for the Twin Stars at least had some wearable glitter eyeshadows and the case was cute.

Beautiful packaging but inconsistent formula

This is a fun palette Color story wise and package wise but the consistency is just not there unfortunately. As the other reviewers stated some shadows were buttery soft while others were chalky.

Really Bad!

I cant add much more here because its been said in all of the previous reviews. This is not a good palette. Dry, poor texture and BIG glitter everywhere! MASSIVE glitter fall out. I was stunned to receive this (and several other terrible sub par products) in my lucky bag. I searched Beautylish's IG and found ONE single post by them on this product. ONE.... Beautylish posted abut this once, yet sent it out in mass in lucky bags? Terrible. I search everywhere for reviews etc on this palette and found very little...all by a very specific (drag queen, theatrical, dramatic look) audience. This was a very poor choice for a lucky bag given its poor quality...hence all the very poor reviews. Very disappointed. I really feel "taken" by beautylish this year as my entire lucky bag was just horrible. Very poorly curated .

Not An Everyday Pallet / Poor Choice Selection by Beautylish

I've been a huge fan of RuPaul's Drag Race for years so I'm aware of who Miss Fame is. I was also aware that she had her own makeup brand. Under My Skin is not for everyone, not even for the majority, let's be honest. The colour story is young nightlife glitter glamazon babe. When putting together a lucky bag for customer's, an eye shadow pallet with more universal appeal and wearability options would have been a wiser choice. As a 45yr old women this pallet holds no value because, for me, it's completely unwearable. I gave Under My Skin along with the ugly and unwearable white, green and neon pink lip color's that came in my bag, to my 15yr old niece. Even she's having issues with this pallet as the quality of the shadows isn't good and creating complete looks is difficult when there are no true matte or transitional shades. We both found the glitter fall out was epic - all over our face and hands. The shadow formulations are dry and do not apply/blend evenly. This is Miss Fame's first pallet so I'm cutting her brand some slack and hoping future releases will provide improved quality with more comprehensive color stories. Hopefully Beautylish is reading all the reviews and taking note on what not to do next year. Also, respond to your customers BL. Clearly a large majority of customers are really unsatisfied with this pallet and the lucky bag offers in general. Ignoring requests, comments and reviews will only serve to further alienate them. Client retention is how small businesses thrive and survive. Make it happen.
