Hands down my favourite shade. People don’t seem to understand that ‘Diet Freeze’ is meant to be worn in a sheer layer NOT glopped on so that the blue colour is as dark as possible. When worn alone with a light touch it literally gives the illusion of whiter teeth. Not to mention, if you have blue eyes like myself it also compliments them in the most subtle but effective way. I also own: Ledgends Only, Ice Cold & Midnight Lick - ALL of which kick ass in different ways. I’m a lipgloss woman thru and thru, extremely picky about the look, feel& texture and this formula is without question THE BEST on the market. I’d like to add; Beautylish, is without question THE BEST online beauty supply in the world!!!
I'm honestly surprised by how much I like this gloss. I expected it to be a total flop but it is actually very beautiful. I purchased ice cold and it is so glittery and shiny. I personally think the component is a little cheap looking. I wish he had done the top the same as the concealer but I understand why he didnt. I wore it for about three hours and it came off when I ate. I think it is much prettier than what the swatches show. I do think it is a little expensive for a lip gloss but I will likely order a few more.
I want to take this lip gloss out behind the building and get her pregnant.
I was a goth chick in the late 80s-early 90s, back when we didn’t have Hot Topic to get our emo together but we had to trudge to every store to find the one or two items they were selling in black. In my maturity, I still rock milky pale skin, a mostly black wardrobe, and am prone to more weird or fun makeup looks if I’m in the mood to serve, or I can just do some eyeliner, mascara & a lip color and call it good, depending on timing and where I’m headed.
Lip gloss wasn’t ever much of a staple for me as a young goth, as everything matte seemed to be what I liked. This meant no lip gloss in high school, and the odd gloss I was given as a gift always seemed super sticky and a mess.
I sorta wrote gloss off, really, because I didn’t care for the texture, and if I wanted some shine I made due with some shiny lip balm. I did buy Lip Glass when Mac brought it out, and I loved its staying power and it was fun to put on the eyes in photo shoots to make models’ eyes so fresh and pretty, or glossy and gone during the grunge era.
I saw Jeffree Star was launching a gloss, and I feel like their Lip Velour formula is the best liquid lipstick on the market, so I checked out the formulas offered in gloss: most have a tinted base with glitter & a tint, and six are translucent but tinted.
Then I saw the black one. Shiny black lip gloss. The goth within roared with glee and I opened my box with great anticipation. Golly this gloss is beautiful. It looks great alone, can be applied thick or thin, layers over colors with some beautiful results with a bit of creativity.
And since this formula is eye safe, the first look I tried with The Gloss I placed Midnight Lick on my lips and eyes. (in pic) The formula is not sticky like lip gloss of my youth, and lasts longer on the lips, and performed as well as a cream shadow on my eyes.
Delightful. Sinful layered over JSC’s black lip velour “Wierdo;” super 90s grunge if you line your lips with a black liner and then top with gloss. I will buy more when my first tube is all gone.
You need this—yes you do.
It is not sticky. I have full functionality of my lips and mouth. Huge plus. Gorgeous color. I wore it alone and was kind of blown away by how pretty it is. Then I tried it over Celebrity Skin and I'm pretty sure that is my new go-to color. So pretty.
I didn't expect anything earth shattering from this gloss. However, I was looking for something to wear over the Velour Liquid Lipsticks. This gloss is the perfect opacity to wear alone or over your favorite lipstick. It is a sheer light beige with a nice creaminess to it. Feels weightless on the lips, and is super hydrating. Applicator is different than liquid lipstick, but works well with the formula. I also like the unique packaging.
I'm very picky with lip gloss. My favorite is the Glow Gloss from Becca, and this honestly reminds me a lot of it but this one smells better. I bought Legends Only and it's very pretty. It stays looking wet and shiny even after it has been on your lips for a while which I like (I was wearing it for about an hour in the picture). I definitely want to try the glitter formula as well and will probably order diamond juice.
My MS makes putting on makeup a bear! Lipgoss is still fun! This is all glossy and sparkly, not sticky at all! Love it!
