Twist up the bullet and apply to lips. We recommend exfoliating your lips with Jeffree Star Lip Scrub first for the smoothest application.

I love my Celebrity Skin on the Velour formula, so I jumped quick to buy this one. It came in looking and smelling just fine. However as I applied it felt a bit stiff, dry and grainy. The lipstick on tube looks horrible. On the lips is ok, but you can feel the grainy texture as if there is fine sand on the formula. What's up with that? Now I am worried about my Unicorn Blood I ordered the same day.
I ordered 2 of Celebrity Skin because I love this shade and I was soooo exited about the lipstick However when I opened the first one ( which is at the right of the picture ) I realized that there is a weird flakey texture I don't know what is this exactly it's not smooth at all which is very very disappointed to me I think maybe it's bad one so I opened the other one ( at the left of the picture ) and still not smooth less flakey than the first one I feel sorry but I don't like the formula at all
I love Jeffree Star but I don't love this lipstick. I am a lipstick junkie and have several brands at different price-points. So when this new product came on my radar, I made sure I set my alarm and jumped on the website at 1PM (ET) to be sure I could get a couple. I ordered both Celebrity Skin and Unicorn Blood. Then I waited (impatiently) for my order.
First Impressions: This was my first Beautylish order and the Customer Service was impeccable. I got updates about my order and I thought the process was seamless. When I got the package, it was packaged very well (thanks, Jen!). Upon opening the lipsticks themselves, I noticed the lipstick tubes seemed a little flimsy / chintzy. I love cute, substantial packaging (i.e. Lipstick Queen / TooFaced), so this kind of disappointed me. The smell of the lipsticks is really pleasant (almost vanilla-ish) and the colors looked almost identical in the tube to what they did online.
Background: My lips tend to be on the dry side, so I always exfoliate and moisturize before applying any lip color. This was no exception.
Application / Etc.: I love, love, love the color of Unicorn Blood, but the application (even with a liner) was streaky. I tried with two- three swipes and it still just looked... bad. I also purchased Celebrity Skin and had similar problems that other reviewers had -- the texture feeling "grainy" on my lips-- but the color of that was beautiful once applied. I would almost keep it (it would work with another color under or gloss, even)... but for $18 a tube, I can't justify it. At this price point, I expect a little better quality and coverage.
Final Thoughts: I wanted to love these, but they're just *meh* for me. I'll be returning and using the money when the Liquid Lips are restocked.... and Beautylish is awesome and I would highly recommend ordering through them.
I was so excited to receive my lipsticks. I ordered celebrity skin and unicorn blood. Unicorn blood is nice, I really like it but celebrity is grainy and just feels like an exfoliator! I'm so disappointed in this shade! I live in the UK so shipping and custom charges weren't cheap, and to get a lipstick that I can't even wear is really annoying
I was so excited to get these I ordered Celebrity Skin and Unicorn Blood but I am honestly so disappointed! They looked great in the tube but after I applied them they looked and felt extremely grainy! I thought it was just my lips so I used the Velour Lip scrub to prep my lips and tried again....nope! Still grainy. Next, I thought it was just my tube but after seeing the reviews before me I'm sad to see that it's just the formula. Unicorn Blood doesn't look bad on the lips but it does not feel good going on. Celebrity Skin doesn't feel good or look good on. I had high hopes and I really love the packaging but I'm bummed. I'll post other pictures of Unicorn Blood and Celebrity Skin to my profile later.
I feel like these weren't tested before they were put in the package. Poor color payoff and SOOO drying. Beauty Pagent is especially drying... I don't see the point. Fail :(
I was so excited for this lipstick! I tried it on and I felt like I had crumbs on my lips and when I looked at the lipstick after it looked like it had particles in it! I thought maybe I got it dirty or something so I wiped it with a paper towel and swatched it and it stayed super grainy! I'm happy to know I'm not the only one but also disappointed because Jeffree is always down talking other brands and I thought his would be way better. Beautylish is amazing and I will def shop here often idk about buying his products again.
I really wanted to love these lipsticks but they just did not live up to the hype when you apply them they leave this weird texture on the skin. Returning all of them they are just horrible
I really like the JS Velour lipsticks but typically prefer traditional lipsticks so I was very excited for these. I got Jeffree's Girl, Baby Spice and Starfish which were barely distinguishable in color when on and all went on extremely patchy and grainy. I also got Celebrity Skin the texture was a little better but the color just wasn't flattering on my medium skintone. The only one I'm keeping is Unicorn Blood which I did like but tbh is not particularly spectacular or unique.
I was so excited to get my lip ammunition lipsticks. Beautylish sent me a delivery confirmation and I did a happy dance at work. I got home and opened the package I ordered Starfish and Beauty Pageant. First let me say I LOVE LOVE LOVE the color of Starfish it is such a seductive pink. I do agree with the reviews it is a heavy formula but it goes on easily which I liked.
To the bad part of this though. When I watched the swatches of these Jeffree had mentioned how amazing Beauty Pageant would be to put over a liquid lip since it was more shear and glittery. So I ordered it for that reason my lips get dry with the liquid and I thought how amazing it would be to add a little moisture and shine at the same time. NO just no. I tried adding it over Prom Night and it took off my color and the glitter is scratchy. Not only that but it didn't give any moisture it felt like glitter on a glue stick. Made me so sad.
But to sum it up I loved Starfish and am not sorry I purchased it however beauty pageant will sit in my drawer because my lips can't handle applying rough texture like that.
