Wonderful brush! You will need a brush guard though!!
I love this brush so much I had to buy a 2nd one after I got the first! It's beautiful for just blending in your transition and for going over to blend everything together. Generally natural hair brushes will splay and bloom so to speak when you wash them. You can get brush guards from amazon for like $7 for a pack of 40 and use them to keep the brush's shape. For sure do it after you wash it and make sure to have it dry upside down to where water does not get into the ferule! Natural hair brushes are a game changer and this one is really great!
This is a great crease brush and blends beautifully! The biggest drawback is it doesn’t hold it shape whatsoever! Even after only one gentle wash! It still performs well so I’ll keep it but it splayed horribly.
Maybe I didn't have the right expectation?
I didn't expect to lose it shape so fast... and it wasn't as soft as I think it will be. I brought it mainly for its shape. But very soon I see a lot of loose hair. I am not sure what happened... I will use a brush guard to see if that helps. I love the handle, and the shape of it (ideally if it holds its shape).
Not what I was expecting.
I loved this brush until I washed it. The shape is perfect as a blender for my small, hooded eyes, and the bristles were the perfect density for diffusing colour. The handle looks and feels a little cheap. I use a good quality brush cleaner and have professional shapers, but after washing the bristles seemed to get a little frizzy and frayed and it didn't perform as well. I've tried conditioning it, but it just doesn't perform well. It's comparable to a natural bristle Morphe brush I got in a kit, except the Chikuhodo doesn't shed. I realize this is their budget line, but I was expecting more.
Out of control
After I washed it the hairs flair out. I struggle to reshape this brush. I prefer my Wayne Goss brushes over this
On the fence.
I love everything about the brush other than the fact that not long after I purchased it the ferrule became loose. After that it’s all downhill. I was expecting the quality to be alittle better than that.
So incredible
I love this brush. I need to get more! It’s so soft and is my go to blending brush. The taper is perfect for my deep-set crease.
Great crease brush
It's a nice, small crease brush. It does the job and blends well. The design of the brush and handle is much prettier in person. I'm taking off one star because it's not the softest goat hair, but it's not scratchy either.
Not what I was expecting.
I wanted to love this brush. I had been eyeing it awhile before I finally purchased it. Unfortunately, I don't think it's worth the price. I'd rather pay a little more to get a Wayne Goss brush, they're amazing. This brush frayed badly after just one wash. It also left skip marks when applying eye shadow.
Pros: Soft, I like the handle length and weight.
Cons: Frayed bristles, skips when applying eye shadow.
I have cheaper brushes that out perform this one. Hard pass for me.
Game changer
I am Asian with hooded eyes(half the eyelid fold disappears when eyes are opened). I have a hard time making a natural fade out when I apply vivid eye shadow colors and use the beauty blender to clean off and shape the blend on the outside rim. I wondered how other women get that nice shape of blend around the wing tip without doing what I do with the beauty blender. It was this brush.. or at least brushes shaped like this. I am glad I tried this out. It wasn't too big for my eyes or my hooded lids.
