Glittery
I got the shade champagne diamonds and it is very glittery I use this as a base for the glitter shade in my dolce vita palette and it helps the shadow stick on to the eyelids while making it more intense and glittery it also makes a beautiful inner corner hilight
I am a professional makeup artist and I use this product on my junior models. It looks beautiful on camera. It does get a little dry and you have to sharpen each time you use it to "wake it up" so therefore it does not last long. Especially pretty on blue eyes. If you put a lite bronze shade in crease it is really good.
Easy Look
I received this today after looking for an easy eye look to wear every day for a day time look. I have blue green eyes so I figured I would go with the standout color for blue eyes. The formula is very nice, blendable and also glides on nicely. However with this certain color I was really surprised how large the glitter is. I saw a few other reviews saying the same. It makes the blue in my eyes stand out but it is something I would probably only wear at night because of the large glitter. Maybe I should have gotten a different shade or tried the cream shadows.
so pretty, blendability is questionable
A little trickier to work with seeing as any attempt to blend and smooth out this product once on the eyes results in large chunks of the silvery glitter to surface.
Formula wise it is easy to apply, and doesn't drag. Incredible staying power, as promised.
I find it is gorgeous to use as a base, or as a inner corner highlight for evening. To use as a base, I apply with minimal blending to the edge using a small not too dense brush.
Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon Champagne Diamonds
I had to have this eye shadow pencil because it was written up as a way to "cheat my way to intense, bedazzling [blue] eye color!" So BAM that was a given for me to amp up my eyes so that other women would ask if I'm wearing blue contact lens? And I loved the fact that I knew my eyes were my own color with the magic of the color imparted from this color morphing eye shadow pencil which I simply used with my pinky to apply to my lids and with a tight line of dark pearl, also by Charlotte Tilbury to tight line on my upper lid and a tiny amount on my lowers to set off the champagne color sparkling on my lids. I really felt I had the perfect combination once I managed to get the Brow Pencil in light brown to highlight my brows for both the day and into the night and frame my face to perfection. So if you're not on board with these eye products you're missing out on the best new products I have tried in years that make me happy and I'm VERY PICKY so you can take it from my candor to try the magic of these chameleon sticks. Either get on board or lose the ride and be left behind. BRAVO CHARLOTTE FOR GREAT EYE PRODUCTS FAR ABOVE THE FREY.!!!
Good color - bad application
I'm not sure if I got a bad one - but mine was quite dry. There was no real way to blend post-application and it tugged on my lid so it never went on quite right. Also, there would be some fallout from the glitter so that would end up under my eyes and on my cheekbones.
Very lovely color, looked good with my blue eyes as promised - just didn't love the texture.
So easy!
I LOOOOVE Champagne Diamonds. It is probably my most-worn makeup item right now. When I'm traveling, when I only have a few moments, or when I know I'll be crying (eg. a funeral) and don't want a lot of makeup but still want to have something, this is the one I reach for.
The sparkles make your eyes look awake and pretty and the color is light enough that you don't have to be exact with your application. The formula lasts all day. If there is any creasing (sometimes there's a little) I just make sure to check it periodically and tap it out—no biggie.
For me, it has just the right amount of sparkle. I love it for that! Gold pencils (and shadows in general) don't show up great on my skin tone unless they have a bit of glitter to them. But even though its glitter, it still feels adult.
I know I'm going to use this one down to the end and will purchase it a second time.
This product applies smoothly, feels great when gliding it over the lid...however, it definitely is more 'evening' sparkle. It has large flakes of sparkle, that did end up under my eyes, and on my cheeks as the night went on. It also was quite gritty once it set...It dries, it doesn't stay creamy...so once it sets, I did feel a grittiness when I blinked, which caused a bit of irritation, and I think that also caused the sparkles to shed. The color is very pretty and if you want a 'champagne diamonds' effect, this does match that description, but I would say even more accurately, 'champagne sparkle'.... I'm confident I could have found this product in a drugstore at a much lower price point.
