Think long and hard about this purchase...

Do not buy this if it is to be your first foray into colours as there is little pigmentation and zero lasting power. These are difficult to apply and difficult to blend. I can get some colour on my lids when I pack on the matte and then pack the shimmer on top of the matte. Used separately they do not complement as the shimmers are darker than the mattes and imo that is not a good look. After saying that though, I am determined to make this work because it is a By Terry product and it should work...somehow. I will try different primers, different techniques and different companion palettes and write again if I find something positive to say. Two stars for the packaging and the layout. I actually don’t mind using smaller brushes and I think it looks pretty.

Horrible Waste of Money

This has got to be the worst eyeshadow I have ever bought in the last ten years. Wet n Wild is much better than this! No pigmentation, no staying power. $42 of dust!

A stand alone palette for colorful elegant looks

I was hesitating to buy this palette for a long time. I have been searching for reviews and images about it on youtube and blogs but I could hardly find any. It catched my eyes by its beautiful presentation but I was not sure if it would be as useful as I expacted. Now, after a week of continous use I can tell its versatility exceeded my expectations! I put myself on a challenge, I decided to do my eyelook only using this palette every day during a whole week. I had a lot of fun and I liked this little jewel every day. I only paired it with some eyeliner and mascara and I could get some really sofisticated colorful looks to get compliments for. After completing my challenge I have collected some useful thought and tips on how to make the most out of these shades. First of all the quality of these shadows is just superb... they are incredible soft and smooth. I used Kevin Aucoin's SSE to prime my lids and tone down discolorations, then I applied the light matte shades to set it and to have a smooth base of color. The metalic shadows went on top really easy (with Sonia G Builder one I adore!!!) and the color pay off was realistic to the pan. The darkest shade is the golden metal in this palette and it has a smoky finish that I usually used in my crease along with the purple one. The green and blue ones are really pigmented in between the metalics and I usually put them in the center of the lid to make them pop. The rosy one, however, is more of a sheer finely mild glitter really nice on the lower lashline, for inner corner highlight or washed throughout the entire lid. I was suprised how I love these pastel mattes also, they serve as a base color and for smoothing out the edges of the metalic ones (I did not need to use the traditional neutral "transition shades"), even if you layer them on top the metalics you can achieve a satin finish look. All in all this palette is so versatile and the colors are not hursh but elegant. I personally think it would worth more attention of the beauty bloggers and youtubers. I also think it has a reasonable price tag being a By Terry product. I cannot recommend it enough for those who like to play with make up and get the most out of the everyday looks. I work in an office but part of my job is related to customers and I can stay at work using this palette without being overwhelming. It is beautiful to look at, the shades are smooth to apply and they blend and work together as a dream!

Cute and Small

I am a fan of this palette. It’s absolutely small, and you will need to be a little more cautious picking up product, but the shadows themselves are so nice, apply easily to the eyelid, and look as good on the face as they do in the pan. I want more colorful eyeshadows so this was perfect.
