Super moisturiser with instant results, but be wary of putting TOO MUCH!

I got this for free, so yes, I'm obviously not going to plunk down that amount of money on moisturiser. Not yet, anyway. Maybe when I'm almost wrinkly :)

Anyway, I received a sample pot of this, and was taught the right way to apply it. You need a very small amount on your fingertips, rub them together, then pat pat pat all over your face. I saw immediate results. My face was brighter and plumper the next day. It almost gave me a smooth, almost pore-less visage.

Problem is that if you use too much or consecutively (every night, for me), it tends to break you out. I suppose the fact that I live in a tropical country factors in, so people in colder climates should fare better with this.

Will it justify the price? Honestly, I saw the moisturiser's immediate effects and I do think it's worth the money IF it suits your climate. For me and this tropical country, probably not.

Light almost like tinted moisturiser; evens out skin tone.

It says foundation, but the texture is a lot more like tinted moisturiser with very light coverage. Best for people who don't have a lot to cover.

I like this as a face base, but the smell is obnoxious :(

Also, it tends to emphasise my dry patches.

Highlighter, not a moisturiser or eye cream.

I have mixed feelings about this product. First of all, it really isn't an eye cream or a moisturiser. The texture tells you that outright.

One thing I love it for: highlighting. I use a dab of this on my cheekbones, temples, brown bone, nose bridge, etc. Gives me that healthy "natural" look.

It does have a weird, plasticky smell, though, so even though it's never given me pimples, I still sort of find it weird to use this. I'm always on the fence about its "safety" LOL.

It's a giant tub for such a low price so I still love it, though.

Light and easily absorbed but tends to lose effect after some time.

This is a really light moisturiser from Clarins. Very gentle and it moisturises the skin nicely. However, after daily use, I noticed that the initial effect of plump and healthy skin was waning. Also, I started getting pimples (this after more than two months of use, and I wasn't really using any other product).

Texture's still great, though, and the scent is calming and perfect for mornings.

Leaves skin itchy and oily :(

As much as I love Clarins, this one really didn't do it for me. I bought this with the toner. Supposedly, you're supposed to use this to cleanse your face, then the toner to get rid of anything left after.

I don't know if it's the ingredients, but my skin gets really itchy and oily after using this. And I was even so meticulous in following the instructions to the letter. I just think this cleansing milk might have some irritant that really doesn't work with my skin.

Great sunscreen and tinted face base in one!

I use the tinted version of this, so on some days I just use this and powder and I'm out the door.

I know a lot of people think that using this in lieu of sunscreen is insufficient protection, but personally, using "good" sunscreen brands often breaks me out. They're so thick and gooey and so WHITE.

This one gives me enough protection (I can use as much as I want without fear of a pale face) and it doubles as my sort-of primer.

Just 1 star off for the small amount. So expensive and yet you get a teeny tiny bottle. Anyway, I'll repurchase this because I love it despite the price.

Does not work in tropical weather :(

When I used this during the cold season in Macau, it worked really really well. Gave me a good "boost" of healthy-looking skin.

Problem is I live in the Philippines, where it's constantly hot. Started pilling, made me look oily and emphasised pores.

Too bad.

Lovely, light finish that gives skin a natural and healthy glow.

I love love love this foundation. Got this in Singapore because it's not available locally.

The finish is light and almost like a tinted moisturiser, but with medium coverage. The scent is fruity and nice, although I guess some people may not like scents on their beauty product at all.

Overall, it does give skin a healthy and naturally glowy finish, but I can't vouch for its supposed skin care effects.

One thing: if you have dry skin, best to exfoliate first as this accentuates dry patches.

Great and convenient set; definitely worth the money

This is a very affordable set, given the amount of products you get in one go. It's everything you need for a perfect base. Personally, I put more emphasis on getting a smooth, flawless base because this is the most important step in makeup. Without a good base, it's pointless. Anyway, the only problem I have with this is that the concealer shade doesn't match me. Too bad, because it's otherwise a great combination set for daily use. Plus, the tools you get are incredible :) Love the concealer brush and the large puff.

Brightening primer for a subtle healthy glow :)

I know a lot of people don't like this product because it makes them too pink. That's not a problem for me because I have yellow (almost olive) undertones and the pinkish tint in Benefit's That Gal really works to counter the sallow tones of my skin.

I find that I can use this with or without makeup on top. Some days I can just use this and powder and I'm good to go. It doesn't give me an oily look because there are no overt "shimmers" that most other brightening primers have.

I can't vouch for the "primer" part of this product because I'm not really oily in the first place. Still, it's a nice addition to my beauty arsenal, for days when I just need a little boost to look more radiant and fresh :)
