Beauty Product Reviews

A great surprise

I am a sucker for a everything with an Old Hollywood flare to it, so Charlotte’s packaging (and the hype around her line) has certainly caught my attention. I was debating with whether it is worth investing in the magic cream for a while. It’s an expensive product, and I have combination, and breakout prone skin. And it’d not like my bathroom cabinet lacks high end skin products... You know how it is, lol. Finally I’ve decided to go for it, and I am very happy with the results. First, you need only a tiny bit to cover your whole face. I expect this jar to last for a good while. Second, my skin immediately feels hydrated and refreshed. It does not break me out, and works as a primer quite well too. I am considering her beauty balm next.

The mother of all cream liners

I have hooded eyes and oily lids, while my go to look is a strong, graphic cat eye. Although I use a primer religiously (NARS eye primer is a holy grail), when it comes to cream or gel eyeliners I am in trouble. Even if I powder my lids after using a primer, and set the liner with eyeshadow, it still transfers — and rather quickly. BUT, I recently purchased Inglot’s Eyeliner Gel in black, and I am absolutely blown away. It glides over the lead like a dream. There’s no pulling on skin, and no need in a repetitive application because the pigment and consistency are the bomb. And you can go back and forth over the line, and it won’t take off the previously deposited product. While the best part, it stays put. I became a fan very quickly, and am about to invest in two more shades.
