Beauty Product Reviews

Someone told me that she had the worst rash on her face from this cream and the rash took about 2 weeks to go away. So as an esthetician I wanted to know why.

POND's claims are: "Won't clog pores", "Hypoallergenic" and "Suitable for sensitive skin". Nice claims, but true? I checked the ingredients.

1. Some ingredients (eg. Mineral Oil, Petrolatum) clog pores.

2. There are no industry standards for products that are labeled as hypoallergenic and go to your bathroom and check your cream's ingredients: basically it will be the same, like this POND's one. My question is: what makes this POND's cream hypoallergenic? (Nothing.)

This cream is synthetic, harmful and toxic. I am still in shock that they have the courage to sell this product and top of that say that this is a great moisturizer and you can trust in it!

I found many comments saying this cream caused break outs. I am not surprised. It has Mineral Oil, Isopropyl Palmitate and Petrolatum in it: all of them very comedogenic.

When I see on a product that it says "Dermatologist Recommended, or Tested", I am very careful, because it's not guarantee for the safety.

I will never put this cream on my face.

In one word: it's not effective.

It didn't do anything for me, my skin around my eyes wasn't better just because I used it. It doesn't do anything for puffiness. If you want a real cure for your dark circles which is actually free, then sleep a lot and drink at least 2L water/day. You can also put a slice of cucumber, because this gel won't fix the problem. Or put some cold black tea filter on your eyes.

It contains ingredients that don't have any benefits to the skin and some ingredients are toxic or/and harmful.
