Not So Special

I don’t particularly like white bristled brushes but thought I’d give this set a try since it was touted as being softer than air, if not like silk. Well, lesson learned. Saikoho goat hair may be soft, but not soft enough. On my skin, every brush felt rough.

The E5 and the E6 in particular, were scratchy on the eyelash area. Under magnification, E6 was definitely cut hair, having a straight blunt brush tip without any definite tapering to the hairs, like on normal grown hair tips.

E4 is too stiff for a laydown brush. It applies shadow in a dense manner, no matter how much you tap off, which makes blending afterward a major effort.

The E2 and E3 brushes structure left a fuzzy line instead of detailed as would be expected from a pointed brush. The shorter bristles were splayed and shapeless making application of shadow inaccurate and the points were too flimsy to make a clean cut line.

The E1 is just too large for the eye area and makes blending hard to control. It scatters and washes out blends past desired margins.

Needless to say, this set was returned.

Just Like Castile Soap

I received this as a gift with purchase. Not impressed. It has a strong lemon and plain Castile soap scent that lingers long after use. My skin didn't feel clean after rinsing. There was a film that was left behind much like soap scum on a sink. I have oily skin and this made it feel tight and parched.

Horrible

Couldn't tell if it would exfoliate because it smells so bad. I couldn't rinse it out fast enough. Needed to shampoo three times to get rid of the odor. Into the trash it went. Rating is actually zero, or maybe less.
