Beauty Product Reviews

Amazing.

I mean, I'm not gonna lie ... I'm dubious about setting sprays and their efficacy (or lack thereof). But this little gem? This little bottle of coconutty goodness? I love it as a moisturizing primer water type thingy, and I love it as a "MOISTURIZE ME!" instant dry-skin soother.

It smells delicious, too, which doesn't hurt.

I have to be honest ... I have NO idea what's in this stuff.

I mean, I knew it wouldn't blind me, maim me or turn me into a gibbering lunatic but other than that I wasn't quite sure what was in it or what it would do. Bravely and with some trepidation, I clicked the "order" button, spun around three times (widdershins) and hoped for the best.

Lo and behold it turns out this is actually some sort of magical potion made on the Shire, only when the moon is full and involves busy little elves, unicorn tears (joyous tears, naturally) and only under the careful instruction of some big dude called Hagrid. Or maybe it was Gandalf. I don't know. But he was really big though!

Anyway, after three weeks of twice-daily usage, I can honestly see a difference in the texture of my skin and it seems to have really helped some darker spots of discoloration.

I've just bought a second bottle, actually.

For (serious) reference, I'm in my 40s and my skin is ... well, "uppity". More or less combination, usually quite tolerant of stuff but can have a hissy fit with nary a moment's notice.

This is indeed my HG cleanser. I've tried other cleansing waters and while I do like one particular drugstore version, Sensibio beats them all. It's gentle enough for my uppity skin, and effective enough to remove just about all of my makeup (coconut oil removes the bits Sensibio can't).

Love it. Will cry rivers of tears if it ever gets discontinued.
