Beauty Product Reviews

Here's a way of using it that YOU WILL LOVE

After reading Benefit's claims on this product, I assumed that it was an all-over face primer comparable to ones from Smashbox, NYX, etc. I feel as if Benefit should re-evaluate their labelling of this product, because I don't think it's a great face primer, but I found an AMAZING use for it! I use this product as you would with Benefit's High Beam. I put it on the high parts of my cheeks, and wow it makes a beautiful difference to my foundation routine! If you are someone who thinks that High Beam is too bold for an everyday wear, try applying "That Gal" as a cheek highlighter, and tell me what you think! "That Gal" is also great paired with Physician's Formula Happy Booster in Translucent over top, for they both carry a pink hue to their finish. Overall, I dislike "That Gal" for a face primer. But I'm loving it as a highlighter!

Suggestion: If you girlies are looking for a great, lower-cost ACTUAL face primer, try NYX Pore Filler. It smoothes the surface of your face, blends your foundation amazingly, and keeps your liquid AND powders stay on all day.

I hope I helped! xoxo LaurenAnchor

Fantastic pop to any foundation routine!

I recently purchased Benefit's High Beam in a set with other sample products, and I am impressed! Since I have natural pink undertones in my complexion, this pink highlight would be perfect if you do as well! Though I love this product, I don't use it every day. I find that it is just a step too shimmery for daily wear, but I will definitely use it as a staple to any look that has a bit more "oomph" to it, for example a "Going Out" look, or even a "Sun Kissed" glowy appearance. I normally apply Benefit's High Beam on the tops of my cheekbones after foundation and concealer, and BEFORE my powder products. A great pair with this product is Physician's Formula Happy Booster in Translucent. This powder has the same hue to High Beam and will set it, leaving it long lasting through any event or activity.

There are better products out there.

Who could resist such cute packaging and phenomenal marketing used by EOS? Through all of the raves I've heard about these lip balms withing the YouTube beauty community, I had to give one a go. I purchased the pink lip balm at my local CVS, and I can say that this is an average product. I think the scent is wonderful, and it leaves a moisturizing finish on my lips, however there are better moisturizing lip balms out there. I noticed that when I apply this lip balm when my lips are already chapped, it sort of enhances the crusty-ness a bit, (I know, gross RIGHT?!). Although I do enjoy whipping out this cute lip balm in class, it definitely doesn't help heal or prevent any dryness on my lips.
