My first Sonia G. set!
Not technically my first fude from Sonia G. (I had a fan brush from her a while back and I thought it was just okay). But she blew me out of the water with this set. I debated whether I wanted to invest in the set, or not because my previous experience was so underwhelming. And frankly, the colors looked a bit tacky to me. I finally decided on buying it because YouTubers were gushing over them and it’s limited edition so I didn’t want to miss out. I was so impressed after just one use that I went a little nuts and bought a bunch of other brushes from Sonia, including the fusion set. And I was very wrong about the colors - the set looks very elegant and feminine in person. The details and the craftsmanship are extraordinary! Now I’m mentally kicking myself for not getting her brushes sooner and getting my hands on the bigger face brushes when I had the chance. I’m counting down the days till they get restocked again…
These are my first proper fude, and I LOVE them! These brushes have completely changed how powders sit on my skin. I don’t even have to try, my makeup just goes on seamlessly. Plus, I love that these particular brushes are so versatile. I did my entire face using these three brushes, except for liquid and cream products, of course. They were definitely worth the splurge!
Not for me...
I wanted to like this foundation so much. I have combination oily skin with large pores and this foundation seemed like it will be the holy grail for me. However, it doesn't do any of the things it claims to do. It does look natural but it highlights my pores more and settled in my fine lines. Not just that, but it completely came off when I tried to touch up. I wasn't rubbing the applicator or anything, I was lightly patting some setting powder on my oily areas. I was absolutely horrified! It looked so bad that I had to take it off completely with makeup wipes. It was very inconvenient because I wast on my way to meet someone. Maybe I will try it on again but I was extremely disappointed.
