Beauty Product Reviews

Must have!

This is by far one of my favorite eyeshadow primers. I love the consistency of this product. The formula is not liquidy but not hard or pasty either. A lot of people say this product has a silicone like texture, but I can't exactly describe what I would say the texture of this product is like. It's not as thick as Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer, but I actually like it better. If you are looking for something that actually adds a tint to the eye or covers up coloring or veins on the eye, this product is not what you are looking for. I do not think this product has any kind of tint to it, in fact, you can hardly tell it's on the eye. This product is such a good price for the amount of project. A little of this goes a very long way. I can use this same tube every day for months and months and it will not give out. I think this really helps with the longevity of my eye makeup and it really helps with creasing too. Definitely a holy grail primer for my personal tastes.

I wish I loved it

I was super excited when I first saw this product was coming out, but I was somewhat disappointed when I used it for the first time. I like this palette but I do not love it. I feel like the shade selection is very poor. There is a larger highlight shade which is nice, but this product lacks a darker shade to darken up the eye or use in the crease. I also think two of the shades are much too close, and UD could have picked a shadow a little more different from the rest to add to the collection. The blush is nice but it is very bright and vibrant and I do not think it would work for every skin tone, not would it suit every person's tastes. The bronzer is too red toned, and it can very quickly became muddy looking and make you look orange. I do like the mascara, lip gloss, and eyeliner however.

Good but not great

For me, these glosses are good but not good enough to be worth their price. The selection of colors is nice and the pigmentation is pretty good. The only problem is I would only describe this product as "pretty good," not "great" or "holy grail." For many people, I feel like the formula would be too sticky. Personally, sticky or creamy lip glosses or lipsticks do not bother me, but for some this gloss would definitely be too tacky feeling. My two favorite glosses in the line are Apricot and Brown Sugar. I feel like if the formula was just a little more pigmented, I would like them better. I would also like to see a different type of applicator in the future.

Overall great palette!

The Too Faced Semi Sweet palette is a pretty good eyeshadow palette overall. The colors are definitely warmer tones, in my opinion. I love the color selection of this palette as it includes several good transition shades, a few darker shades, some pops of color, and a mix of matte and sparkle shades. I also love that Too Face includes two larger pan sizes for the highlight colors. On another note, however, the pigmentation of all the shadows is not the best. The shade "Pink Sugar" is nothing more than mere glitter when swatched, unless you use it with water or Mac's Fix Plus- which even then it is not the best. "Blueberry Swirl" is another colorful shade that swatches nothing like what it looks like in the pan. I was highly disappointed with that color because I was excited for the beautiful blue pop of color in the palette. Other than those two shades, most of the other shadows are fairly pigmented. There are a few shadows that you have to work with to build up the pigmentation. The colors are easy to use and easy to blend, and I also find that they wear for a fairly long time. I give this product 4 stars because I feel that for the most part, it is a good piece to have in your collection. I just wish some of the shades had better pigmentation.

Perfect for spring!

I love this palette for creating fresh, pretty spring time looks! Naked 3 features beautiful rose gold, pink, and gold toned shades. There are a few more taupe colored shadows as well. If you are a matte eyeshadow lover, this palette is not for you. Most of the colors are either shimmer or pearl finished. Only two or three shades are completely matte. I do love this palette, but I think if there were at least one dark matte shade and a brown matte transition shade it would be better. As far as quality, all the shadows are pretty pigmented and easy to work with. If you do not tap off excess shadow, you can get a bit of fall out, but I find this to be true for most UD shadows. Overall, I really like this palette and I think if you are into these pink shades, you will too!
