Beauty Product Reviews

First impressions can deceive

I tried this once or twice from my friend before I bought it and loved it. But once I did buy it, (for a great price) it started clumping and drying out super fast. I apply about 3 or 4 very, VERY thin coats so it doesn't clump but I can never seem to get it to the roots of my top or bottom lashes. After a few days of buying this my disappointment was clear. I love most Maybelline products especially for the price but this isn't one of them. A few of their other mascaras worked great with my lashes but I'm sad to say that I most likely will not repurchase this unless clumpy, dry lashes come into style someday.

Not bad

This is a nice, blendable foundation and is good if you aren't going for a super full coverage look. It isn't the best if you want full coverage or you want something more buildable. I do like the shade choices. Very diverse. I usually don't condone buying L'oreal products because they do participate highly in animal testing but I had heard a lot of good reviews about this. Honestly it really is a nice foundation but doesn't allow much room for a dewy look, if that's what you're going for. Overall, I think it is equally as good as it is bad.

ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT

Let me tell you as someone who has tried plenty of different sponges (including the sephora colloection one) this is by far the best one I've ever used. I used to think that all the beauty gurus on YouTube were just saying that because they have plenty of money to throw away if they don't like it. But boy was it surprised when I finally decided to splurge and let myself get it. What I do is dot the foundation all around my face then go in with the damp BB and bounce/stipple it into my skin. It gets the makeup into 360 degrees of each and every pore for a very clean, full coverage, flawless, airbrushed look. It doesn't leave the nasty streaks that brushes tend to and doesn't pull or act harshly on the skin like other sponges. A perfect, Latex-free, hypoallergenic formula permits the best application I've seen. The best part? You can use it with almost any product. Foundation, concealer, bronzer, blush (both cream and powder), highlight, and even setting powder. I will recommend this to anyone who's on the fence but not quite sure if they want to buy it.
