A refreshing breath of fresh air

This spray has become slowly but surely become a cult classic from Caudalie and I have got to say that I am in love with this facial mist. I had recently started using this as a refreshing mist to reach for when my skin felt dry during my day at the office. Soon enough, I was reaching left and right for this spray due to its addicting and refreshing scent. Although a lot of people claim that this product has a thick medicinal fragrance, I suggest shaking up the bottle so that you’re able to mix the ingredients and allow for the fragrant notes of orange blossom and rose to transport you to a high-end French spa.

This particular spray not only hydrates and softens but helps set your makeup all day. As a huge fan of the popular “All Nighter” by Urban Decay I would have never imagined that this facial mist would have similar setting power, but not only does it help set my makeup all day, it leaves me feeling hydrated and refreshed. Overall, if you’re looking for a scrumptious treat to give to your skin, go on and liberally spray some beauty elixir.

My new complexion hero

This complexion hero has definitely come to my rescue when I feel a breakout coming. I personally have dry/borderline dehydrated skin and this little pen which dispenses a clear gel-like substance helps calm and prevent breakouts from getting worse. My 2019 beauty resolution was to stop picking at my skin when I feel breakout develop and its amazing ingredients have made me grab for this pen whenever I feel a breakout coming or when I have a pesky blemish. The formula for this gel has ingredients such as willow bark extract which helps maintain my skin feeling clean without feeling tight, which helps since I don’t want to strip the natural moisture out of my skin. Another ingredient I’m crazy about is rosemary leaf extract because it has properties that help maintain the skin free of any bacteria as it has anti-bacterial properties. Overall I would say that this product would be a hit for anyone who struggles with sudden breakouts, or those who want to help prevent breakouts from starting.  

The answer for soft and supple skin

This is genuinely my favorite product I have discovered here at Beautylish. This particular balm will heal and moisturize even the driest skin. My younger brother suffers from eczema and once we applied this to his skin he instantly felt a difference in his skin, and the dry patches basically disappeared after a week of using this magic balm. I personally have moderately dry skin and I have found that using this while I am fresh out the shower has increased the overall texture and feel of my skin. This particular lotion also offers no scent or thick perfume which means I am able to layer as much product as I need without the overwhelming smell of a fragrance. Although the texture of this product is quite thick, it absorbs quickly, and it has been the first body moisturizer that I have found that maintained my skin in tip-top shape. If you have dry skin or have been feeling the winter blues affect your skin and its texture please give this balm a try, you won’t regret it!

New favorite concealer!

As someone who has naturally dark under eye circles, I would consider myself a concealer expert. Although I usually shy away from high coverage concealers for underneath my eyes due to having fairly dry skin, I tried this concealer and I'm glad I did! I have recently started prepping my skin by placing some eye cream not just at night but also in the morning and as I apply this concealer and the results are stunning. This concealer has a circular applicator as opposed to the usual doe-foot that you typically see with concealers, which helps to literally dot the concealer along my under-eyes. It comes in 30 shades and has a great range of undertones, which is perfect for me since I lean towards a more olive undertone. I wear this concealer in the shade, G+ Medium 2 for under my eyes and G Medium 3 to spot conceal. The only reason I won’t be giving this the full 5 stars is for the matte finish since I prefer a satin to natural finish as opposed to matte. So if you have dry skin and feel this might not work for you, as long as you prep your skin with the right moisturizing primer, look no more and give this concealer a try. 

This is by far my new favorite skincare discovery of all time. This scrumptious cleansing balm helps remove and cleanse your face like no other balm. I am personally a fan of double cleansing as I wear makeup on a very regular basis and this product helps soothe and condition my face. As someone who has dry/dehydrated skin this cleanser helps my skin feel refreshed without leaving my skin feeling stripped of its natural moisture. This particular formula contains ingredients that dry skin needs such as papaya extract since this is something that helps to gently exfoliate the skin, I use other treatments with this particular ingredient and enjoy the result that it has on my skin. Although it might be more convenient to grab a face wipe or micellar water to cleanse my face, the noticeable changes in the texture of my skin make me repurchase this green tub of goodness every time!

My new hair savior

My new to go hair products of 2018, and now 2019! I happen to have loose curly hair and didn’t know my hair and scalp needed this until I gave it a try. This is a hair treatment made out of apple cider vinegar which helps the pH of your scalp and balances out any issues you might be having. Towards the end of the year it is really cold and I develop a bit of dandruff and have an incredibly itchy scalp. To remedy this instead of over washing (which would strip the natural oils my curly hair needs) to alleviate these issues, I use this along with a cleansing conditioner and my hair has never felt better! Apart from containing apple cider vinegar, it also contains one of my favorite ingredients for hair which is Aloe Vera which is a fantastic ingredient for curly hair as it is highly moisturizing but when applied to the scalp it helps alleviate any itchy or dry patches since it is an ingredient known to help alleviate inflammation. While using this product, I was able to notice the difference overnight and have continued to use this as a restorative treatment to heal my scalp from all of the dry shampoos and curl creams I use to have my hair looking gorgeous and bouncy. If you are having any issues with your hair, whether it be an itchy and dry scalp, dandruff or just want to deep clean your hair this is by one of the best problem solvers out in the market.

The best stick foundation EVER

I think this foundation is the new holy grail for people who are looking for a moisturizing full coverage foundation. I personally have dry/dehydrated skin with some discoloration from teen acne (don’t pick at your skin, it doesn’t help!), and not only does this glide across my face effortlessly but also offer fantastic coverage without using a ton of product. The coverage is similar to concealer and I’m happy to say that Hourglass offers a fantastic shade selection and it is incredibly inclusive. I’m in the shade golden natural and contour my face with the shade Sable. Although this foundation costs a bit more, it is worth the price when you factor in how little you use when you are applying your base makeup. If you’re in the market for full coverage foundation that never looks like you’re trying too hard please give this foundation a try. You'll be amazed by how mighty this stick foundation is!
