Beauty Product Reviews

Missed the mark for me

The Quartz palette is ok, it seems like the formula is a bit drier so it takes a lot to pack on. I don't hate it, it's not bad enough to return, but I wish the formula was softer.

Wonderful

I love that this is a multipurpose palette. I had thought about buying it for some time, as matte neutral palettes are my weakness and I have more than enough to last a lifetime (eye roll), but knowing I could use the shades in this one for blush, brows and brightening my under eyes or highlighting was enough for me to finally purchase it. The pigment and formula is great and can be built very easily.

Nice!

I use this before serums and moisturizer. It has a slight cooling sensation and smells nice but I haven't been using it long enough to see a noticeable difference. Long term, I'm hoping to see some firming around the eye area. The tube is metal and is kind of a hassle but the key is not squeezing it hard before dispensing the product. You need less than a pea size. I'll give it a month and see how it goes from there.

Pleasantly Surprised

I read good things about this and decided to give it a try. It is very gentle and you control the intensity of exfoliation by how much powder you put into your hand. I find I get a deeper scrub by using a mitt instead of more powder. You also get a TON of product for what you pay. I will be using this bottle for a long time.

Chic, Sophisticated, Excellent!

I'll start this review by praising Beautylish's incredibly fast shipping and delivery. I ordered this collection on Thursday (launch day) and it arrived at my house this morning (Saturday) so thank you, Beautylish! As for the collection, the formula of the eyeshadows is smooth and effortlessly blendable, especially when using Wayne's brushes. The eyeliner doesn't tug AT ALL and when using a little foam wedge sponge, that also blends it beautifully. Like Wayne said, you can blend the liner all by itself near the lashline, add some mascara and that would be a look. (I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills or Smashbox 24 hr eye primer. Both are great primers for me personally). My ONLY complaint, and it is a small one, is that the matte brown fawn color is alittle too orange on my lids and I blame my fair/light cool/neutral skin tone for that. To avoid this, I dab my brush into the black to cool it down and that works just fine. Otherwise the collection is perfect, I couldn't ask for more from Wayne Goss. He is simply a gentleman, one of the most informative makeup artists in the industry, and I wish him all the best in present and future of his brand.

The Best

This is THE brush set to use if you have hooded or "droopy" eyes. At 33, the skin on my eyelids and brow is not what it used to be and these brushes really help dispense product properly. They are soft, sturdy and cruelty-free! The feel is quite unique and sets itself apart from other luxury brand brushes. Hopefully they will last for many years.

Beautiful

Not for one moment was I nervous about a Wayne Goss cosmetics line. He cares deeply about makeup for women of all ages but seems to pay attention to age demographic of 30+, which I appreciate, being 33. I ordered Lotus because I like the brown tone shades, being a 90's girl. The lipstick component is sturdy and solid, feels weighty and luxurious. The lipstick formula is smooth and comfortable and has a scent similar to MAC, a tiny bit sweet. I would like to order more as soon as the other shades are in stock! Thank you Wayne!

Perfect

I wish Jeffree would make this a permanent addition to his collection...it goes so well with my skin tone and the packaging is amazing. It is by far my favorite highlighter of his. My only wish is that the formula was alittle more cream/plush and less powdery. A damp beauty blender is ideal for application. Otherwise it's wonderful and will last a good long time.
