Beauty Product Reviews

It smells like Monet’s Water Lillies would smell if you could smell colour.

It’s pure pleasure in a pot. My skin is so happy with it, too. I’m not mad at all at the price, and I’m getting the jasmine mist next time. I’m hooked.

Will definitely use, sparkle makes it a little impractical

I bought this because it was odd, and it took a little experimentation to use. I don't find it works well as a finishing powder because it contains sparkles, but it's lovely over the cheekbones used like a highlighter or layered with a highlighter. I'm a cool-blue-pink-purple undertone so it's really great on my cheeks. I also like it better on a bare face because it shifts foundation tones to a ruddy purple cast.

If you want to spot brighten and cancel out yellow tones, a violet cream corrector is probably a better option.

Great Primer, minor compatibility issues

My new favourite primer; it smells great and it seems to be water-based so it can be massaged in with warm water to dilute it. It doesn't mix with silicone-based anything, though; I usually use Smashbox eye primer and it congealed when I tried to use it on top. Some eye pencils may not jive either, it makes my Pixi eye brightening pencil skip and ball.

No problems with my foundations, eyeshadows or brow products. You just need to see what does and doesn't work. It's worth the time.

Great Way to Top off Nighttime Face Regimen

I LOVE this powder and I adore the peacock container I bought with it. It's sold as a night powder, and I love using it after my serum and moisturizer regimen at night; it makes my face soft and matte for bed (I didn't like going to bed looking like a greasy monster, and this solves that problem).

The puff works, but I've been using my Koyudo fu-pa 02 brush which is a densely-packed goat foundation stippling brush akin to a kabuki.

I'm also known to wear this powder on top of my Anna Sui gel primer as an easy "set and go" alternative to foundation. With a heavy hand this product can have a white cast, but being gentle with it takes away shine and feels and smells lovely.

I haven't noticed any significant reduction in freckles or discolouration over time. I very happy with it for what it is, and will purchase again with another compact to take it on the go.

I was always buying new brushes, but not anymore!

I have a lot of makeup brushes, and these are by far the best I've ever known. My favourite brushes from the set is the eyebrow brush, the foundation and the blending brush.

I've had no bristle fallout. The only problem I had with the set is a lack of pencil brush which I reminded by picking up the Takumi version.

These brushes are breathtakingly soft and stunningly made. It's one of the best makeup investments I've ever made.
