different but not terrible?

I dont hate this palette but I would agree that the formula change in the shimmers is noticeable. In comparison to her sunset, lila, and star palettes I would say the mattes are perfection as usual. The mattes were buttery and easy to blend just like they always are. the Shimmers are were it takes a detour. Now I personally have not had the 'sealing' issue that some have had and I don't know if that is because there is mixed quality amongst the palettes or if it has to do with how they are being used so, here is how I have used mine; with the shimmer and glitter shades I only ever use my finger to apply. In my experience, I get the best results with any shimmer/glitter shadows this way. I also have not used any water or sprays on the palette. I got beautiful color payoff however I did notice that normally when using my finger I can rub it into the shadow, tap my eyelid and get the shadows to transfer easily. however, with these shimmers I found that I had to press and wipe/slide my finger across my lid to get the shadow to transfer. Once the color was onto the lid though it was beautiful like always. Something to also note was that I didn't have the fallout from these glitter/shimmer shades that is in the star, sunset, and lila palettes. Also I know that there were people saying they didn't see a duo chrome effect in the gusti shade, but I disagree. I notice a blue glittery effect when I use this and look into the light. again maybe I just got a 'good' one, I don't know. As for wear time, I typically don't have issues with color fading from my eyes or with creasing and again I did not experience either of those things happening with these shadows. I'm a nurse and I work 12 hour shifts and twice I wore this to work and beautiful eye looks for the entirety of my shift. Overall I quite like this palette but I understand the controversy. the pictures of those 'sealed' shadows are just awful. If I hadn't already purchased this palette I don't know if I would take the gamble for the price tag. But, on the other hand, if I'm being honest, I am very smitten with my palette and If there weren't other people reporting their issues with it I would say run, don't walk to buy it.

so so.

I have recently been trying more of Tom Fords products but this one wasn't as shockingly good as some other things I've tried. I bought this because I was in love with the idea of the liner and lipstick being in one product. In regard to packaging it is extremely well done. The product is sleek and made in a way that allows for a decent amount of both the liner and the lipstick to be included. I truly enjoy the packaging of this product. The liner isn't bad but I have several others that I prefer, namely the Marc Jacobs and Charlotte Tilbury liners are both smoother and creamier on the lips. This liner is quite dry. As for the lipstick, I was expecting soft and creamy but upon layering this with the liner it just didn't feel as good as I am accustomed to the Tom Ford lipsticks feeling. It's a beautiful color with slight gold flecks which add a bit of dimension to the lips without looking glittery. This also wore really well but I don't know if I would purchase this again, simply because I found the formula lacking in comparison to his other products. Overall this is a good product. The liner is good, the lipstick is good, but if I'm spending the money for a Tom Ford product then I expect more than good. If your priority is the convenience of having your lip liner and lipstick in one product over the quality then this is perfect, as the quality is good. But if you are looking for that outstanding quality that Tom Ford makeup is known for then ditch the convenience and just carry two products.

tiny.

This is definitely a small size, but when a normal lipstick is around $50, that shouldn't be surprising. This color is absolutely beautiful, my perfect light, everyday color. I love the slight shimmer it has which adds a nice bit of dimension to the lips without looking like you have glitter on your lips. Bonus points for this being my soon to be surname. I love it and will maybe buy a few more.

Beautiful, creamy, and wearable? Treat yo' self!

Two years ago you would have never caught me in make-up; cut to now where I can "occasionally" be caught spiraling down the rabbit hole of tutorials and online shopping binges and we're here: Tom Ford Spanish Pink. Simply put, it's beautiful. This lipstick glides onto the lips with ease and it lasts far longer than any other creamy/sheeny lipstick I have come across. The color is also perfect. I am very fair with red hair and this is the perfect my lips but better. This color goes well with a wide range of looks and I never feel like it's too much. Needless to say, I am smitten with this product and have since bought more. If you're dipping your toe into the world of luxury make-up this is a great first item. It looks good, it feels good, and it's worth every penny.
