Beauty Product Reviews

Beautiful brushes and great quality, BUT...

They're all basically different size crease brushes, which is why I knocked off one star. I was never able to purchase the old eye set, so I can't really compare it to the original. However, the old eye set looked like there were more of a variety of different size brushes including an overall eyeshadow brush for blending eyeshadows all over the lid and high above the crease. I was fully aware of what i was getting into when purchasing these brushes. The brushes are more compact and pointier than the original set which will give you a more precise deposit of pigment on the eye. I also saw Wayne's video on how these brushes are pretty much geared towards people who have hooded eyes, so I understand why almost all the brushes work like crease brushes, I just wish there was atleast one overall fluffly eyeshadow brush to blend all over the eye. You'll difinitely need to reach for another brush outside of this collection if you want to achieve a blown out smokey eye look. Other than that I'm overall happy with the quality. They are soft and there's minimal blending needed with these brushes. This will be a new addition to my brush collection.

It's a Hate Love Relationship

I love this gel liner when I first apply it onto my lids because its so creamy and smooth and most importantly, it doesn't skip! The black is so rich in pigment. It's honestly the blackest eyeliner out there in my opinion.

However, my eyelids are SUPER oily that it will literally break down anything that I have on my eyes. It really sucks because I know that this eyeliner is great quality and it makes putting on eyeliner a breeze. It's not the gel liner's fault and I'm torn with wearing it because I know it's only a matter a time before my oily lids start breaking it down.

I prime my eyes with a Too Faced primer and set it with the RCMA No Color Powder or the Laura Mercier Translucent powder. It does help a great deal for a few hours but my oily lids create too much oil that it will evetually break everything down. I only use this liner when I have a smoky eye look because if the gel liner does transfer and move you can't tell as much. But when I do use it with a smokey eye it just brings the eye look together and it really is the easiest gel liner to work with. For that reason, I cannot give this liner a bad review, but with the problem I have I can't give it 5 stars. I will settle for this and the L'oreal liner in Blackest Black until I can find the one.
