After painting your nails make sure they are completely dry. Then cut strips of old newspaper and one by one dip your nail in alcohol and quickly wrap the newspaper around it. You may also want to place an alcohol soaked cotton ball on top to make sure it's soaked. Press down on the nail firmly for a few seconds. Gently remove the newspaper, let the nail dry, then go over it with a quick drying top coat. If you want a matte look apply the matte top coat over your quick dry coat.
