Zara Larsson Just Solved Your Halloween Makeup

Zara Larsson’s beauty looks have a habit of making us stop mid-scroll—and this look by her makeup artist Sophia Sinot deserves a spot in the Halloween group chat. For makeup lovers who’d rather recreate a cool-girl pop-star moment than reach for another costume kit, this celestial look hits exactly the right note.

Step 1: Paint on a celestial smoky eye

This is where the look really takes off. Reach for Jeffree Star Cosmetics Night Owl Artistry Palette and start with the palest mint or aqua shade, sweeping it generously from the inner corner across the lid and up toward the brow. Don’t be too precious about placement—the goal is a blown-out, almost watercolor effect.

Next, work a medium blue through the outer half of the crease, extending the color toward the temple.

Press a deeper cobalt or indigo into the outer corner and diffuse it into a soft, elongated wing.

Add a touch of violet along the outer edge, blending it into the deep blue for a seamless blue-to-purple gradient.

Repeat the colors along the lower lash line, keeping the inner corner bright and concentrating the deepest blue on the outer third. The palette’s metallic shades give the cool-toned color an out-of-this-world shine that catches the light from every angle.

Step 2: Add lashes

Press Lilly Lashes Self-Adhesive Toppers in Edgy Accents along the outer lashes. Keeping the extra volume at the outer corners emphasizes the elongated eye shape without covering up all that color. Better yet, they’re self-adhesive: high impact, surprisingly little effort.

Step 3: Pack on the blush

Sweep Chantecaille Cheek Shades in Horse Joy or Nudestix Nudies Matte + Glow Core in Magenta Magic across the apples of the cheeks, blending the color slightly upward toward the temples. Don’t hold back, the generous flush is part of what makes those icy eyes pop.

For extra dimension, tap Charlotte Tilbury Mini Hollywood Blush & Glow in Fair/Medium onto the tops of the cheekbones as well as the bridge and tip of the nose.

Step 4: Make it a starry night

Now for the part that takes this from smoky eye to Halloween-worthy. Scatter Lit Cosmetics Holographic Glitter Pigment in Disco Dots Silver S3 across the forehead, between the brows, over the bridge of the nose, and onto the upper cheeks.

Keep the placement intentionally irregular, creating a denser constellation around the center of the face and spacing out the sparkle as you move outward. Add a few flecks along the neck and collarbones to keep the celestial effect going.

Want to mimic the larger crystals in Zara’s look? Add cosmetic-grade face gems with a skin-safe adhesive, mixing different sizes with the holographic glitter for that scattered-starlight finish.

Step 5: Go glossy with the lips

Define and softly overline the lips with Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in 90s Pink or Natasha Denona I Need A Nude Lip Crayon in Cherry Blossom, concentrating any extra fullness around the cupid’s bow and center of the lower lip.

Top with Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Lipgloss in Yuwen or Jouer Cosmetics Long-Wear Lip Topper in Rose Gold for a glossy, light-catching finish that plays nicely with all that sparkle.

Step 6: Add the finishing touches

Part the hair down the middle and leave it loose around the face to channel the original look. For one last flash of celestial shine, dust a little Disco Dots Silver S3 along the collarbones and shoulders, keeping loose glitter away from the immediate eye area.

The result? Part pop star, part celestial creature, and very much the cool-girl answer to Halloween makeup.
