Spring Makeup Must-Haves: Bloom-Inspired Shades

540

April brings in rain and showers, yes, but it's also tulip season! Inspired by these Dutch beauties, we created three spring looks you can copy at home. We hope you'll love them as much as we do.

ORANGE CRUSH

Imagining silky orange tulips basking in the warm sunlight, we designed this look around a muted, modern citrus-y eye.

Apply 361 matte all over lids from lash to brow. Contour from inner corner of the lid to the center with 314 matte. Use 366 matte on the inner corners of the eye. Highlight cheekbones, the center of the forehead, and below the lip using eye shadow 488, and add some contour around the cheekbones with blush 49. Finish with lipstick 13.

CALLING ALL CANARIES

There's nothing like sunny yellow to shake off winter gloom! We mixed a soft daffodil shade with a hint of green to get a radiant glow.

Apply 370 matte on the outer lid from lash to brow and blend toward the inner corner of the eye. Then lightly apply 343 matte along the outer lid. Use blush 49 to add definition to the cheeks, and a small amount of MAC Clear Gloss to finish cheeks and lips.

OOH LA LA LAVENDER

Delicate purple is big for 2013, and surprisingly wearable on a range of skin tones. A hint of gloss over the top gives the look an extra dewy feel.

Apply 318 matte all over from lash to brow. Blend 359 matte into the lid. Then layer a small amount of MAC Clear Gloss over the top from lash to brow, taking care not to smudge. Contour cheeks with blush 54. Blend lipstick 13 and 31 and apply.
