Beautylish Beauty Blunders

Don’t you hate it when you blink in the middle of applying mascara and end up with a big clump of raccoon eyes? You’re not the only one who has those "oops" moments with beauty products. Inspired by a thread in our Talk section, the Beautylish editorial team dishes their makeup mishaps.

Christina F.

"I tend to choose really great times to put on nail polish, like before having to go to the bathroom, before bedtime, etc. Added to the fact that I'm really impatient, it's practically impossible for me to let my nails dry before I attempt a new task. Even when I think my nails are dry, I still somehow manage to get fabric indentations on them without fail."

Jasmine J.

"Personally, I always spill pigments! I'm known for it. No matter how careful I am and whether or not I take the time to make sure a pigment is far away from a ledge, I am completely clumsy and will spill pigment everywhere!"

Ning C.

"Now that I've been wearing bright lipsticks pretty much on an everyday basis, I've been seeing colorful smudges all over the place—on my hands, on my clothes, and even on my beloved gray nubuck Givenchy bag! The strong pigments are especially stubborn to wipe off, but thank goodness the lipstick came off the purse with a little water and elbow grease, otherwise I would've been majorly heartbroken!"

Victoria S.

"I hate when I squeeze out too much foundation on my palm—wasted product! I try to put it back in the bottle, but that almost never works out."

Tara L.

"I always, always end up splodging mascara on my nose when I apply it. I'm so careful about applying, but I end up with a mark."

Wafi A.

"I have tons of blending brushes, and I tend to mix up the ones that are clean with the ones that are dirty. I'll end up having black shadow left on the brush that makes everything much darker than I wanted it to be."

Now that you’ve heard about ours, what are some of your beauty blunders?
