Beauty Product Reviews

Mild, refreshing cleanser with a pleasant scent!

I really love this product because it's mild, cleans well and doesn't dry out my skin. I use this in the mornings daily. This isn't my heavy-duty cleanser because I prefer a different product for deep-cleaning, but if you don't need a cleanser to remove makeup, give this a try.

Gentle, no-residue cleanser with mild scent

Don't expect this cleanser to cure acne flare-ups, but be relieved that it doesn't cause irritation. It's great for removing foundation or blush, but I don't rely on it to wash away eye makeup. I bought the huge bottle and it's time for a refill after a few months of use in the morning and night. This is a keeper.

My favorite Mario Badescu product. It's a gentle cleanser that helps with minor inflammation.

I've used this for at least 6 months now, around the same time I started using other MB products. This cleanser is great to use morning and night, and it isn't drying on my skin. It also helps soothe irritation. It's only OK for removing makeup, but I don't rely on it for that since I use makeup remover wipes prior to washing my face.

Not for all breakouts. Don't expect a miracle acne spot treatment.

Success with this lotion depends what kind of pimple you have. Red, hard, cystic acne breakouts that are problematic below the surface are not going to shrink with a dab of this overnight or for multiple nights. However, as the description says, mild whiteheads seem to dry up more easily with this, especially small ones on the chin or nose. Best used before bedtime, but don't be surprised if it gets on your pillow. When you wake up, you may notice a decrease in size for the most minor types of pimples, but you can get that from cleansing and exfoliating. This is better for occasional breakouts rather than problematic acne.

Great shampoo for all hair types, surprisingly for fine, limp hair

"Paraben free! Volume! Improved hair texture! Great for heat styling!" I've raved about this shampoo since 2008 when I stumbled upon it by accident. I remember the formula being much more different then (more waxy and gave my hair a different texture) and the packaging changed too. I actually liked the old formula because it really increased the volume in my hair (if you want it to add volume, it was great). I always got compliments on my "beachy waves" when most shampoos leave my hair flat. Now, it's more effective in cleansing (hence the purifying term on the label) and is less of a volumizing agent. I miss what it did to my hair, but I still love the natural scent and how it cleans my hair. I can wash every other day with my hair still feeling great. I wish I wasn't the only one who feels like the formula changed on me. If Carol's Daughter has an old stash laying around, I'd gladly buy it all and rate it 5 stars again.
