About Me

Hi! What to say about me... I'm basically obsessed with cosmetics. It started way back in high school, when I not only loved doing my own makeup (& that of my friends), but also did makeup for the school plays. This continued into college, where I minored in theatre and did makeup for all the plays we put on. Traveling with a show was FUN!

Once I got out into the real world, I worked as a makeup artist for a local photographer. I did makeup for brides and for seniors who were getting their portraits made. I loved seeing girls feel beautiful, especially if it was a new thing for them. :D

Now I'm a stay-at-home mom/housewife, and I've discovered the joy of nail polishes. Nail art is so much fun, and is just one more way for me to express my artistic side. I also paint, make jewelry, work with polymer clay... I'm sort of a crafty kind of person.

My latest endeavor is my blog, Layniefingers. I figure everything is done using my hands, so no matter what I post about, it's made with Laynie's fingers! I know, it's cheesy. Deal with it. :D
