Turn Brown Eyes Blue!
Have you always wanted blue eyes? You might have tried colored contacts or even just given up on the idea, but now all that can change! California-based optometrist Gregg Homer, O.D., has been researching a laser technique for the past 10 years that will permanently change brown eyes to blue. "The laser is tuned to a specific frequency to remove the pigment from the surface of the iris," said Dr. Homer to KTLA.com. "When the laser energy is absorbed by the body the pigment tissue changes and the body sheds the altered tissue." Thus exposing the blue colored iris that's underneath the brown pigment. The process itself takes around 20 seconds, but it will take two to three weeks for the eyes to change color completely.
While the procedure still has one more year of research before it's completed it should be available in the U.S. in three years, and will cost around $5,000. So, Beauties, would you spend that much money on getting blue eyes, or stick with what you already have?

Call me crazy- but I think the only permanent change I would be willing to pay for would be for a MAJORLY AWESOME coloured eye! Like shocking jewel green, Caribbean aqua or intense ultraviolet indigo- not blah blue gray.

I mean they have surgeries for everything now so why not the eyes...I wouldn't pay, its permanent. I will stick with to the contacts

Cool idea but, I like my eye color as it is. Plus how long do you think your eyes are gonna say blue? (What happens in a few years, eye problems?)

I think this is disgusting. I used to always wish I had pretty blue eyes like my brother but I was born with brown eyes, turning my eyes blue would take away who I am and how I was genetically made to be. That's too "master race" for my taste, and who has $5,000 to drop on something so shallow as changing the color of their eye? Our Country is in a crisis and our scientists are learning how to change eye color instead of finding ways to be less fossil fuel dependent? WOW, I love our priorities!

I think its sad that people will pay x amount of money to change something that makes them beautiful.... no matter what color eyes you have, they are part of YOUR NATURAL BEAUTY.... stop trying to mess around with nature. I wish people would just wake up and smell the frickin roses.
You know, as much as I love doing my smokey eyes and my cat eye look, sometimes the fact that people use makeup and beauty to become someone else makes me want to throw all my makeup in the trash because it makes me sick that people are like "OMG I CAN'T BE CAUGHT DEAD LIKE THIS!!!" really? Some people don't even have food on their plates and people are complaining about whether their eyeliner is symmetrical? Please.
