I thought I'd review my all-time favourite film, or chick film : Max Ophüls' "Earrings of Madame de..." (1953), an exquisite romantic melodrama starring Dannielle Darrieux, Charles Boyer and Vittorio de Sica. This film has been so influential to me as I saw it at a very early age, it made me want to study cinema and I remember wanting to look like Danielle Darrieux or at least copy her elegance and class. But best of all, this film is visually stunning and enchanting, wonderfully choreographed and directed. GO grab a copy of the film!!!!
