Is it ok to have vaseline in your ear?!

Yes, it's perfectly safe as long as you don't put any inside your ear hole haha :-)

Awesome! This is really helpful because it's so annoying when I can't wear earrings that are any metal other than gold or silver! Thank you!! :)

Two things. One, every person has one side of their body bigger than the other. Sometimes the difference is so small we don't notice. So it's not 'odd,' haha, it's quite normal. Two: I'm allergic to the metal that most jewelry is made of. Necklaces, bracelets, belt buckles, rings, earrings, you name it; I get a rash from it. I developed that allergy when I was around 14 years old. I've learned that with rings, that's all I've done this with so far, I can put a coat of clear nail polish on it to coat the metal against my skin. It works, and is more permanent than the Vaseline. I'm not saying that it's bad to do, I was just wondering how well it would work and for how long one could wear the earrings for a day before getting a rash if they're allergic to the metal.

OMG! Putting clear polish! That's a great idea! Thanks so much for the tip :-)
